Hello and a very warm welcome to this special meditation where we will use the powerful Soham mantra.

This mantra is deeply connected to the breath and our inner nature,

Helping us to find inner peace and a profound connection to universal consciousness.

Soham originates from Sanskrit.

It translates to I am that or I am one with all.

So means that referring to the universal consciousness and Ham means I am,

Affirming our connection to this greater whole.

Together the mantra serves as a constant reminder of our oneness with the universe.

It is not tied to any religion but it is a universal mantra that anyone can use regardless of spiritual or religious beliefs.

While many people simply recite this mantra,

We practice it in a different way today,

Through singing.

I learned this approach from my Indian teacher Poonu Vasu and I am excited to share this powerful experience with you today.

This session consists of two parts.

First we will chant the mantra together 108 times.

Why 108?

This number carries deep significance across many spiritual traditions and in Indian philosophy 108 is considered the number of the universe,

Representing wholeness and the connection between mind,

Body and spirit.

After the chanting we will sit in silence to absorb the energy that has been created within us.

Now find a comfortable seated position,

Close your eyes and take a few deep long breaths.

We will now begin chanting the mantra.

You can sing along aloud.

I invite you to sing along or repeat it silently in your mind.

We have now reached the end of our meditation.

I hope you felt both the deep relaxation and the energizing effect of the mantra.

Wishing you a beautiful and peaceful day.
