The Meditation on the Precepts is an original meditation technique that was gifted to me spiritually while teaching, and you won't find it anywhere else. It is a powerful, grounding, calming, centering and healing practice - perfect for beginning your day with Reiki. It guides you through a process of self reflection that is a catalyst for spiritual growth and helps you shift old patterns in a compassionate and empowered way. It also teaches you to infuse your aura with the precepts so that they will ripple out to all you encounter and be with you as you go about your day. This meditation is guided by Reiki Master-teacher and Pranic Healer, Krystle Ash. An experienced and skilled energy worker, Krystle is known for her warm, soothing and grounding energy.

Bring your hands to your heart center in gassho position.

Your hands come together in prayer position at the chest,

Symbolizing the unity of the left and right sides of the brain,

The inner masculine and feminine,

The body and the spirit,

The heart and the mind.

Allow this simple act of bringing the hands together to center you,

To ground you into this moment.

Set the intention that your Reiki begins to flow.

If you like,

You can repeat after me.

Reiki,

Please be present for me now.

Please allow me to act as a channel for your divine healing energy,

Providing me with the exact healing Reiki energy that I require in this moment for my highest good.

Thank you Reiki for helping me with this meditation on the precepts.

Just bring your awareness now between your palms,

Placing your focus there,

Noticing what sensations you feel.

And when you feel that your Reiki has begun to flow,

However you sense that process,

Just smile softly to yourself.

It is a gift to have Reiki.

It is a gift to be aware of this energy.

So let that smile and that gratitude raise your vibration.

Bring your hands now to rest on your lower abdomen over the hara space,

The deepest part of your belly.

And allow the warmth and the gentle pressure of your hands against your body to bring your awareness here,

To your center.

This is your internal center of gravity,

The center of your being.

This is the place within you where heaven and earth meet.

Just drop your focus to the hara.

Give yourself permission to breathe deeply now.

Feel your belly rising and falling,

Expanding with every inhale,

Softly falling with every exhale.

Nourish yourself with your breath.

Breathe deep.

And as you breathe,

Begin to imagine that you're breathing Reiki energy in through the crown of your head,

Like sparkling white and golden light flowing down throughout your body with every breath.

It's effortless.

Just intend it,

And it will be so.

And begin to scan through your body,

Noticing anywhere in your body where you might feel tension or discomfort,

And intend to breathe the Reiki there,

Circulating the white and golden,

Sparkling light,

Letting it fill those places,

Exhaling the stress and discomfort,

And breathing in the sparkling golden light until your body begins to soften.

And just continue breathing the sparkling white and golden light into any places in your body that you know need Reiki now.

Breathing and filling them with sparkling divine light.

Exhaling,

Breathing out what no longer serves.

That's good.

Now with your hands resting gently on your hara once again,

We're going to recite the Reiki precepts together,

First in English,

And then in Japanese.

So just repeat after me,

Either out loud or in your heart,

Noticing any thoughts,

Any resistance that comes up as you focus on these simple precepts.

Just for today.

Do not anger.

Do not worry.

With gratitude,

Practice diligently.

Be kind to yourself and others.

Now just be still.

Sit with your thoughts.

Notice anything that comes to your awareness.

What precept will be of most benefit for me to focus on at this moment in time?

And when you've got it,

Ask yourself,

Where and how is this precept asking me to grow?

And finally,

Ask yourself,

How can I practice this precept today?

Now breathe the energy of that precept deep into your hara space and hold it there.

Hold your breath.

Let it grow brighter and stronger.

And exhale the energy of that precept throughout your entire aura.

So as you're ready,

Take a deep breath.

Breathe the precept into your lower abdomen.

Let it fill your hara,

Gaining strength and brightness.

And exhale the precept throughout your entire being.

Do this two more times.

When you're ready,

Gently pat your hara space with the intention of sealing the energy of this precept into your being.

For the remainder of the day.

Allow your hands to float back to your heart center in gassho.

The feeling of gratitude,

An awareness that you've been blessed by this practice.

And that all who you encounter today will be blessed as a result of you taking the time to do this practice,

As the energy from your aura filters out into how you show up in the world,

And how the world interacts with you.

As you feel ready,

Gently intend to conclude your practice.

Softly open your eyes and come back to the present moment.
