Tapping into that breath,

That receiving invitation,

Inhaling in,

Exhaling out.

Okay,

We're going to inhale,

Bringing the deepest breath we've taken all day,

Big inhale.

Hold here for a count of one,

Two,

Three.

Feel the fullness and then exhale all the air out.

Little forceful there,

Releasing all the air,

The energy out,

Making space for the new to come in,

Inhale.

And then just settle into that natural rhythm or cadence of your breath.

Just noticing that gentle rise and fall.

You may notice it mostly at the heart center at first.

So just noticing that gentle rise and fall of the upper chest.

The breaths are soft and gentle at this point.

So these are getting into the a little bit more of the subtle sensation.

So maybe noticing and letting the awareness run down to the space at the ribs and noticing that gentle expansion and contraction of the ribs with each breath.

Again,

The body just making space for the breath,

For the new energy,

The new intentions.

And then letting that awareness move down to the belly and allowing the belly to just be soft and round.

No constriction,

No gripping,

Just let it be soft.

As the belly softens,

Maybe let the shoulders drop down and back,

Heart center opening up.

And then taking a moment to allow the awareness to reside at the crown of the head.

So we're opening up that chakra there to invite the energy in,

To invite the magic in today.

So we're going to allow ourselves to fill with this beautiful gold and warm light crown of the head,

Let it come down to the space between the brow.

Allow the brow to soften,

Allow any worry turn into wonder,

Any criticism turn to curiosity.

As you release and let go any tension,

Tightness,

Eyes sinking heavy,

Jaw soft,

Maybe even creating a little bit of space between the teeth.

Brow to soft,

Gently noticing the coolness of the air as it draws in through the nose down into the lungs,

That golden light filling the lungs,

Filling the body,

Filling the space all the way down to the fingertips,

All the way down to the toes.

Now that we are filled with this beautiful,

Magical,

Warm,

Glowing energy,

Knowing that it can support us and sustain us through our adventure together today.

Let's go ahead and begin.

So as we begin to prepare for our adventure,

Allow yourself to get creative and envision what adventure you would be getting ready for.

Today we're going to be going on a really beautiful and epic hike,

Allowing ourselves the time our body to move and breathe.

Allowing time to reflect in this time of transition and looking at what is possible for us.

What is possible for you as you get ready for new horizons.

And what the due diligence of the nine of all the details you are meticulously packing and preparing for this adventure.

You've got your journal so you can track your miles,

You have all the snacks so it will sustain you during your entire adventure.

You have all the gear you could possibly need for any type of weather.

No need to worry.

So you set off for your hike,

And you're feeling full of optimism and anticipation of standing at the top of the mountain overlooking the ocean.

As you envision it,

You can imagine the vast open view,

The sun sparkling on the water like diamonds,

That cool air against the skin and running through your hair.

And in anticipation,

You notice your pace is getting faster.

You're walking along the path,

But you start to notice that there is a little bit of discomfort.

Starting to begin to feel a little bit agitated.

You start to kind of scan and look and see where this discomfort is coming from.

Your breath has gotten a little bit ragged rather than that beautiful just soft cadence of breath,

A little bit ragged trying to keep up out of that excitement and anticipation for the adventure ahead.

As you're walking,

You start to notice that there is a clanking,

There's this consistent clanking when you take a step.

There's a little bit of an itch on the back of your neck from the tag on the jacket and you're a little bit hot,

Too warm for the jacket anyway.

You realize that you have overpacked and actually you don't need all these things that you have packed into your bag or attached to your belt and so you go ahead and let it go.

You unclip the cup from the belt,

Recognizing you can just drink from the container.

You take off the jacket that's too heavy.

You know you're returning the same way.

You can pick it back up on the way home.

So just shutting the jacket,

Setting the cup down,

Maybe removing that extra pack of just in case.

You begin to lighten the load and you start to feel a little bit lighter.

The mind begins to settle and the agitation melts away as you continue on the journey.

Rather than focusing so much on what's going on for you,

You find that your attention is able to transition to the world around you.

So rather than being so attached to the vision,

You're allowing yourself to immerse in the world that surrounds you.

The cadence of your stride begins to smooth out along with the rhythm of the breath.

You're able to just speed up or slow down,

Maintaining a stable rhythm of the breath versus this ragged breath,

Trying to keep up with what is in the mind's eye.

You allow yourself to simply be present.

The itinerary falls away.

You find that you're immersing in the minute details of the trail,

The majestic presence of the trees,

Noticing the little squirrels that scurry up the tree into the leaves,

Into their nests.

Maybe you notice the scurry of the lizard that skitters under the brush.

All the senses suddenly are on fire.

The smell of the earth,

The warmth of the sun on your skin,

The feeling of the lush moss on the trees as you gently allow them to run over as you walk by.

The sounds of the birds chattering away to each other in the trees.

As you continue walking on,

You arrive at a fork in the road and there's a sign and it clearly states this way to the right is the trail that will take you to the top of the mountain.

But this other trail seems to be calling to you.

And you feel drawn to explore this other way.

Again,

Tapping into that sensation within but also your senses,

You start to notice that there is a rumbling in the distance.

And the pull to reach that destination of the mountaintop suddenly starts to melt away as this anticipation of the unknown,

This newfound path starts to build within your chest.

You feel drawn,

You feel curious to check out what is the rumbling that you hear off in the distance.

And so you begin to shed more gear,

Dropping the gear without knowing exactly why but there's an innate feeling that is no longer needed.

You only hold on to the mere essentials and the things that bring you joy,

That bring you a sense of peace or a sense of ease.

But knowing truly you have exactly what it is that you need for this adventure.

So it's safe to let go.

So slowly you start ascending and you come upon an opening in the brush.

The rumbling is thunderous in your ears and you come upon this waterfall.

And now you know why you had to get rid of all the things.

So that way you could immediately jump into the well of water.

So you quickly shed whatever remains,

Leaving it there at the side of the water and immerse into the powerful and cleansing energy available in this pool.

Feeling the cool water on the skin.

Noticing the vast and vibrant colors that surround you.

The gentle and rumbling bubbles of water below.

You notice the smile on your face,

The joy in your heart.

And though you are nowhere that you thought you would be,

You have realized that you have arrived to exactly where you need to be.

So allowing yourself a moment here to just simply exist in this energy.

Of trusting your intuition,

Of taking that decisive action to get you to where the heart knew you needed to be.

Celebrating that you were able to hold the vision,

But not hold so tightly to the details that you had to forego the adventure that the heart needed to lead you on.

Again,

Just taking a moment to breathe this beautiful energy in.

Allowing yourself to feel completely content,

Refreshed and renewed.

Allowing yourself to be completely present in the details of this exact moment.

Noticing all the elements that align today to make this experience come together.

Letting go of embracing of being present.

As you come to the water side,

Dry yourself off.

Sitting in the sunshine.

Take a moment to grab the bag and grab a journal.

Take a moment to scribble down any messages or thoughts or feelings that may have come through during your experience today.

Gently setting the pen down,

Closing the journey journal and putting it back into the bag as we get ready for the journey home.

Go ahead and put the pack on your back and just delighting in the fact of how much lighter it is than it was when you embarked on your journey today.

And as you slowly start to make your way home,

Knowing that maybe this adventure is coming to a close.

But truly the adventure and the new journey ahead has just begun.

Slowly going down the path until you find your way home.

Allowing yourself to reconnect with the breath.

Allowing the breath to come in a little bit deeper.

Allowing maybe a little bit of movement into the fingers and toes as you come back to the body.

Maybe even bring a nice big stretch in like we did in the beginning of the session.

Exhaling out here.

Gently when you're ready,

Letting the eyes flutter open as you come back to the room.

And as we come back together.
