Namaste and welcome to the Spirit Rooms daily podcast,

In the Flow with Lori Albert,

Where we discuss spirituality,

Meditate,

Welcome.

Today we are talking about manifesting.

So I think you know that I like to keep things real here.

So I have news.

It's not anything dramatic.

My news is this.

Contrary to popular belief,

If you click on that Instagram post of the money bag that says you will be a millionaire by the end of the day,

If you like that post,

That's not going to work.

Oh,

It kills me.

This is one of the many things and the misnomers of manifesting.

And you know,

It just really is upsetting to me.

Not upsetting,

Like I don't spend a lot of time on it,

But it's just like,

Really?

Do you really think that clicking on that thing is going to make you a millionaire?

It's misnomer of manifesting.

I hate to say this,

But it's not just solely about believing.

It's partially about believing and belief is awesome and important.

But when you get frustrated because you aren't able to manifest as quickly as you would like,

You must know and be aware that manifesting actually does take a little bit of work.

It does.

So today I want to explain and give you maybe a few small tips on manifesting that might tweak something in your brain and give you an aha moment.

That's always my goal,

Especially with manifesting.

If you can grasp onto something,

That's an aha moment.

So here's the deal.

The law of attraction is obviously an important piece of manifesting.

Most of you probably know that the law of attraction states that like attracts like.

So if you are happy,

You're going to attract happy people in situations.

But what I want to point out today is that it's not about thinking for a second that you're happy and then expecting to manifest every dream for your life.

Again,

Sorry,

I like to keep things real because you know what?

So many people need help with manifesting and they give up on it too soon.

So my theory is if we keep it real,

There's going to eventually be more success.

So manifesting is about changing your thought patterns and your way,

Truly your way of being.

And honestly,

Until we decide to put the work in to change ourselves,

Manifesting is going to be hit and miss.

You might get really great at manifesting the parking space.

For years,

That's where I was manifesting the parking space.

Yep,

I was very good at that.

Now I'm not saying that you can never be sad or that you can never be irritated,

All of that stuff,

But ultimately manifest good things in your life.

But I am saying that learning how to manage your reactions to sad or bad things that happen is truly how you become a master manifester.

Say that five times fast.

So of course I get sad sometimes and honestly,

I allow myself to stay there sometimes.

But I also know that I monitor my thoughts and emotions and I know how to pull myself out of that less than good place.

So let's talk about a few things,

Tools to shift those sad,

Negative,

Unhappy thoughts.

First,

It's not about making yourself wrong.

That's a key thing.

Not making yourself wrong when you realize that you are sad or irritated.

Recognizing the emotion is the key there.

Recognizing when I'm irritated is a game changer.

For some reason,

If I'm sad,

It's harder for me to pull out of,

But if I'm irritated,

I can switch that.

I don't know why.

I've always been that way.

Once you recognize that you are in a less than happy place,

Allow yourself to sit there if you need to for a minute and recognize why you're sad or irritated or depressed or jealous or whatever.

Honor that.

Honor yourself.

Oh,

I love that word.

Honor yourself and honor your emotions.

For just a minute though,

And then start to look at maybe the reasons why as to why you are feeling this way.

Why are you irritated all of a sudden?

If I start to monitor my thoughts and I realize you'll love this example,

I start to realize that I get irritated when I'm standing in a long line at Starbucks.

I would sit.

This is how I would handle it.

I would sit and I would say,

Why am I so irritated about this?

Then what I might do is I might say to myself,

You know what?

You're in a hurry.

That's on me.

But then here's the game changer thought process.

At this point for me,

I would say to myself,

Lori,

Get in the present moment.

That's one of the main things that you can do.

Force yourself,

Grab onto that present moment and sit in it.

Look around and take in all the people and all the things around me at Starbucks that are just as much in hurry as I am.

Just this simple shift of perspective can sort of jolt me into that place of like,

Eh,

It's all right.

It's fine that I'm in line.

Everyone else is,

So it's fine.

It shifts it back.

Turns on that switch.

My tip for all of this for today is that when you feel like you are not manifesting anything you want in your life,

There would be two things to say.

Ask yourself why.

Why am I feeling sad or uptight or irritated?

Allow yourself to own that emotion.

But then start to get present to everything around you and know that in this present moment,

Everything is truly okay.

In this moment,

Here's the kicker,

In this present moment,

All is well.

Now I just said a whole bunch of stuff,

But the bottom line to it all is that in this present moment,

All is well.

So what we're going to do is we're going to sit in meditation for just a few minutes and I love this.

All is well.

All is well.

Everything will work out for my greatest and highest good.

Imagine saying that to yourself,

Like when things are going wrong,

When you have a flat tire and you're late and your child in the backseat is screaming.

Getting into that present moment for just a second and saying to yourself,

You know what?

I am safe.

Everything will work out for my highest and greatest good.

Beautiful,

Right?

Now if we can sit in that and if we can just own that,

That's like so important because I don't like to be under any sort of thought process where it's,

Or I shouldn't say thought process,

But any sort of wrong thought where it's like,

Well,

As long as you're just happy,

You can manifest anything.

It doesn't work like that.

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

And we're going to sit and allow ourselves to be in the present moment for just a few minutes.

So allow yourself to close your eyes.

Let's take a nice deep breath in,

Breathing in all that cool air and release.

Ah,

Perfect.

Sometimes we just need that deep breath helps us to relax.

And the mantra for today that we're going to sit in for just a few minutes.

All is well.

Everything will work out for my highest and greatest good.

All is well.

If you don't want to say the whole thing,

You can always just say,

All is well.

So let's just,

I will keep the time.

We're just going to sit for a moment or two.

Just repeat to yourself very gently.

All is well.

Everything will work out for my highest and greatest good.

All is well.

All is well.

All is well.

All is well.

All is well.

Everything will work out for my highest and greatest good.

All is well.

Let's take a deep breath in,

Breathing in this mantra.

All is well.

Allow it to permeate your entire body and release.

So beautiful and so important,

Staying in that present moment of all is well.
