Welcome to In the Flow,

A positivity-provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.

Cry,

Meditate,

What does it mean to be an empath?

What is an empath?

You know what's funny is that I didn't even,

Well,

Okay,

So it's been years now since I've learned what an empath was,

But way back when,

When I was a kid and I would like sort of in a sense take on the emotions of other people.

Like if I saw somebody crying,

I would like get almost instantly sad and I would get like,

I would get really,

I would get sad and I would get,

You know,

Like,

Oh my gosh,

What can we do to fix it?

You know,

I was one of those,

It was one of those kinds of situations where it's just like I needed to fix it,

You know,

For whoever it was that was sad or whatever.

And I knew that that,

That it was compassion,

Right?

But I didn't realize that it was empathy.

And it's so fascinating to me now having developed my spiritual gifts and being in this world of the light worker,

You know what that actually means.

And it's a blessing.

You know,

A lot of people say to me,

Oh my gosh,

But if you're feeling all the emotions of everybody around you,

That must be overwhelming.

And if I don't protect myself,

Yes,

It can get a little overwhelming.

But I think it's a beautiful thing to,

To be an empath and to understand the emotions of the people around me,

You know.

But yes,

I do protect myself.

I have to,

Right.

When I'm giving mediumship readings,

It's really,

Really fun because,

And it's really interesting because what will happen is,

Is that I'll,

You know,

Have a spirit come in and I will sort of be able to feel,

Oh my gosh,

My heart hurts or like my chest hurts.

Does it,

Do you understand that?

And they'll say,

Oh,

It's because this person had a heart attack or whatever.

Right.

But that's like the spiritual empath,

Right?

What I want to talk about with you guys is how you can know if you're an empath,

Right?

So here's my question to you.

When you see somebody crying,

Let's just say,

Right,

If you see somebody crying,

How does that make you feel?

You know,

Like,

Do you feel like,

Oh my gosh,

Oh,

I'm so sorry for that girl or guy or whatever,

Right?

And then you just kind of go about your day or do you kind of,

Do you kind of like sort of feel what they're feeling and have this sort of overwhelming compassion for them?

That's kind of what the difference is.

Okay.

Of when you're an empath.

Being an empath is like I say,

It is a really beautiful way to connect with just people.

I mean,

You know,

Just people in your everyday life,

You know,

There's an element,

Like I say of compassion to it that just,

You know,

Makes you feel like that you're connected to that person just a little bit more.

It's a beautiful thing,

Right?

It's absolutely beautiful.

In spirituality,

When you are an empath,

It's kind of like all like it when you're in a group when let's just say you're in a meditation group and you feel the collective feeling of whatever the emotion is.

Let's just say love,

Right?

You're meditating on love and you feel this love and you can feel the energy in the room.

Oh,

Nothing like that.

If you have never been to,

Whether it's online or in person,

The collective feeling in the room of love or of empowerment or whatever it is,

It's just incredible,

Right?

And the way to do this,

The way to become this is to open your heart,

Right?

So if you can really,

You know,

I know a lot of people say,

Oh,

My heart is very open,

You know,

Kind of thing,

But you need to really,

When you meditate,

You get into that place of stillness and that's when your heart really opens to these,

To this feeling,

Right?

So and you can ask in meditation,

Your guides or whoever it is that you sort of speak to,

You know,

You can ask them to help you be more empathetic,

Right?

It's beautiful.

It's such a beautiful thing.

So that's what we're going to meditate on today.

Surprise,

Surprise,

Right?

I'm so blessed to be here today and to be able to connect with anybody that sees this.

I'm so blessed that way and that's,

In a sense,

That's me being,

That's me discussing my empathic ways,

Right?

I am so blessed.

I feel the love from anybody that is,

That takes part in this,

You know?

I can feel that love and that's why I continue to do this because when we meditate or when we feel that place of love,

That is what raises our vibration on an ongoing basis,

Right?

When you feel the love happening and you feel the love surrounding you,

It's just the most beautiful feeling.

Love,

That is the highest emotion that there is.

Joy,

Love.

And when we're in empath and we can feel that surrounding,

Oh my gosh,

There's just nothing like it.

Nothing like it.

So,

Okay,

Let's get ourselves comfortable to meditate on this,

Right?

Okay,

So let's get ourselves comfortable however that looks like for you.

That's what I love about meditation.

We can,

It's just as long as you show up,

As long as you show up,

Right?

Not necessarily here,

But show up to meditate is what I mean,

Right?

So,

Okay,

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

Whenever it feels right,

Close your eyes.

And our goal today is to emanate love so that everybody listening to this can feel the collective emotion of love,

Right?

So we're going to raise our vibration just a little bit.

What in your life brings you joy?

Just in your mind's eye,

What is it that brings you joy?

Could be your grandkids.

It could be just walking in nature.

It could be your pet.

What brings you personally?

It's so,

It's such a personal thing and that's what is so beautiful about it.

What brings you joy?

And I love that it's completely different for everybody.

What makes you happy?

Let's go on a little bit different of a level.

What makes you happy?

What makes you grateful?

What are you grateful for?

There's so many things in this world to be grateful for,

Right?

So as we get ready to sit in the stillness,

Let's consider today's mantra.

Today I choose love.

It can be whatever you choose it to be.

Today I choose,

It could be gratitude,

It could be love,

It could be joy,

It could be peace.

What do you choose today?

And as we are meditating,

I want you to consider spreading that emotion,

Whatever it is for you to the rest of everybody listening to this.

Today personally,

I am choosing joy and as I choose joy,

I am emanating it to everybody else.

What do you choose?

So as we sit in the stillness,

Let's consider what today will be for you.

I will keep the time and let's begin to sit in the stillness.

Today I choose joy.

Today I choose and let's begin.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

Let's start to bring our awareness back to our bodies,

Back to the chair we're sitting in.

Let's take a nice deep breath in,

Breathing in all of these beautiful emotions that we are taking on today.

So breathe in and release.

Beautiful.

Whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

That was absolutely stunning.

Stunning.

I can feel,

I can feel the collective love here.

It's so beautiful.
