This poem is a quiet meditation on the yogic principle of Ahimsa—non-harming in thought, word, and action. It explores the subtle strength of gentleness and the quiet courage it takes to choose kindness in a reactive world. Through reflective, heart-centered language, the poem invites us to soften the edges of our inner and outer lives. It is both a reminder and a call—to walk lightly, to listen deeply, and to let our presence become a source of peace.

A short poem on the philosophy of Ahimsa and the poem is titled The Silence That Heals.

I do not need a sword to win,

Nor sharpness in my tongue.

The softest breath,

The kindest word,

Can undo what hate has done.

I walk not to conquer,

But to care for the ground beneath my feet.

Each step a whisper,

May this cause no harm.

Each pause,

May this moment be peace.

Ahimsa is not absence,

It is presence,

Fierce and clear.

The brave restraint of ego's hand When anger draws too near.

It lives not just in silence,

But in how the silence listens.

In the choice to speak with honesty,

But never with derision.

It is the mother of all virtues,

The root from which love grows.

To see the self in every face,

Even those we'll never know.

No war is won in spirit's name When violence takes the field.

The heart must learn to meet the world With edges soft and shields unsealed.

So let me live this vow each day,

Not perfect but aware,

To do no harm in thought or act,

And leave more light than air.

Namaste.
