My name is Linda Hall and I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.
Today's meditation helps you cultivate the healing energy of joy by connecting you with a life force within you and around you,
Using a combination of practices including mindfulness,
Grounding,
Breathing and positive visualization.
Allow your eyes to comfortably close.
As you do so,
Breathe out down the full length of your body,
Allowing it to soften and heal.
And release what it's brought with it here.
Take your awareness down to the contact your body is making with the surface beneath it.
Notice the surface is steady.
Sit back onto the steadiness.
Let it steady you.
Become aware of the ebb and flow of your breath.
Understand the sensation of air entering and leaving your nostrils.
Allow your breath to slow and lengthen in its own time.
Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
Become aware of the touch of the air on your face and body.
And allow yourself to soften and sit back some more.
Sense the horizon spreading out all the way around you.
Into the distance and beyond.
Notice the spaciousness.
Height of sky above.
You have all of this space for yourself.
Take as much as you need.
Breathe the spaciousness into you.
Breathe it deep.
As you do so,
Breathe in the life force of the universe.
The force made up of dancing atoms of light connecting everything.
This light has the energy of renewal,
Positivity and joy at its centre.
Welcome it into your being.
Allow it to surround and nourish every cell in your body.
Allow the pure,
Beautiful light to spread and grow inside you.
Receive its positive,
Joyous energy into the depths of your being.
Every cell of your body receiving joy.
Everything to joy.
The energy of joy renewing and strengthening every level of your being.
Give thanks for the joy.
Know that joy is always there deep within you.
Beneath all the disturbances on your surface.
Allow the power of the life force around you and the joy within you to combine.
Give thanks for all that is good in your life.
Give thanks for what you have in this moment.
In your own time,
Become aware of the urban flow of your breath.
Notice the steadiness directly beneath your body.
When you are ready,
You can draw this meditation to a close and move forward with joy.
