Hello,
Before we begin,
Please remember that this is not about forcing relaxation,
It's about listening,
Listening to your body cues and learning more about yourself.
So let's bring your attention gently to your breath,
No need to change it,
Just notice it moving in and out.
Now guide your awareness to your shoulders,
Notice their position,
Are you lifted,
Rounded,
Curved in any way,
Heavy?
Imagine you're sensing your shoulders for the very first time,
Be curious,
Neutral and kind to yourself and with your next exhale,
Invite just a 10% softening,
Nothing dramatic but just enough to let go of what isn't needed.
Stay here for a few breaths and if an image arises,
Whether that be a color,
A sensation,
Allow it without judgement.
Your body communicates in many languages,
Ask gently,
What happens when I don't rush this moment but before we close,
Let's reflect a bit on our practice today,
Where did tension soften for you?
What image came up?
When you're ready,
Wiggle your fingers or your toes,
Gently bring yourself back to the present moment and carry this awareness with you,
Letting your shoulders remind you that ease can exist alongside responsibility.
Thank you for breathing with me today.
