Hi and thank you for taking a moment to meditate with me.

It's truly wonderful to have you here and today we'll focus on using the breath as a tool to create a sense of calm within.

As we all know life can feel overwhelming at times.

This practice reminds us that you can always return to the breath to find stillness even in the midst of chaos.

Allow yourself to explore this moment with curiosity,

With kindness and let's begin.

So come to find a comfortably aligned position where that feels lengthening your spine,

Seated or lying down,

Whichever feels best for you and gently close your eyes or lower your gaze and we'll start with a deep breath in through the nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Feel your body begin to settle your shoulders fall and relax your hands rest naturally and your jaw remember to soften your jaw.

Now let your breath return to its natural rhythm and simply notice the gentle flow of air entering and leaving your body.

As you settle into your breathing begin to notice the natural rhythm how the breath flows effortlessly without you needing to control it at all and imagine each inhale bringing in a sense of calm and each exhale releasing any tension or restlessness and if your mind begins to wander that's okay gently guide it back to the steady soothing rhythm of your breath and exhale slowly through your mouth notice where you feel your breath more clearly where do you notice it most is it at the nostrils as you breathe out or your chest as you breathe in or perhaps your belly focus on that sensation the gentle ebb and flow just like waves that flow on a quiet shore with each breath allow your body to soften a little more and if you notice tension in your shoulders,

Jaw or anywhere else imagine your exhale carrying that tension away and allow yourself to simply be here breathing calm and present what does calmness feel like in your body does it feel like a sense of lightness ease or simply a slowing down there truly is no right or wrong just notice what's here now let's take one last deep breath together inhaling deeply for your nose and exhale slowly for your mouth when you're ready make some gentle movements back to your body wiggle your fingers and your toes slowly open your eyes or lift your gaze and take a few deep breaths thank you for joining me today you've taken a step toward cultivating calm and I hope you carry this sense of ease with you throughout your day or night and remember that your breath is always here to support you one moment at a time if you enjoyed this session feel free to follow me for more meditations or leave a review your feedback means so much and helps others discover this practice
