This gentle guided meditation invites you to reconnect with your body through mindful awareness, breath and mantra. Together, we’ll move through each part of the body — noticing sensations, releasing tension, and offering gratitude for all that your body does for you each day. It is my hope that this meditation helps you recognize how amazing and special you are.

Hello,

Thank you for joining me today for this self-love body scan.

To begin,

Take a deep breath in and gently let it go.

If you are safe to do so,

Close down your eyes.

Take another deep breath in and let it out.

Feel your body relaxing with each breath,

In and out.

Let go of any thoughts circling around just for this moment.

Allow yourself to just be.

Let your awareness follow your breath,

In and out.

Notice the energy flowing through your body as you relax even deeper,

Allowing yourself to be completely held by whatever you are resting on.

Now bring your awareness to your toes.

Breathe into your toes and let them relax.

Breathe into them and notice how they feel,

And accept them just as they are.

Become aware of your feet,

The tops of your feet and the soles of your feet.

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and acknowledge them and all they do for you,

And accept them.

Drift your awareness to your ankles.

Breathe into them and allow them to relax.

Breathe into them and notice how they feel,

And accept them.

Bring your attention to your lower legs.

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and let yourself feel gratitude for everything they do for you,

And accept them just as they are.

Up to your knees,

Breathe into them and relax.

Breathe into them and acknowledge all they do for you,

And accept them.

Your upper legs,

Thighs and hamstrings,

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and feel gratitude for all they allow you to do,

And accept them.

Bring your awareness to your pelvis and hips.

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and accept them just as they are.

Bring your focus up to your abdomen and lower back.

Breathe into them and let them completely relax.

Breathe into them and witness how they feel,

And accept them.

To your chest and upper back,

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and feel gratitude for all they do for you,

And accept them.

Move your awareness to your shoulders,

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them,

Acknowledge and accept.

Down to your upper arms,

Breathe into them and allow them to relax.

Breathe into them and accept.

Your elbows,

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and feel gratitude for all they allow you to do,

And accept them.

Down to your forearms,

Breathe into them and allow them to relax.

Breathe into them and accept.

Bring your awareness to your wrists,

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them and acknowledge and accept.

To the back of your hands and palms,

Breathe into them and relax.

Breathe into them and accept.

Your fingers,

Breathe into them and let them fully relax.

Breathe into them and feel gratitude for all they allow you to accomplish,

And accept them.

Now bring your attention back up to your neck,

Breathe into it and relax.

Breathe into it and accept it just as it is.

Up to your jaw,

Breathe into it and let it relax.

Breathe into it and accept.

Your ears,

Breathe into them and let them relax.

Breathe into them with gratitude and accept.

To your eyes,

Breathe into them and let them fully relax.

Breathe into them and notice how they feel and accept them.

Up to your forehead,

Breathe into it and let it relax.

Breathe into it and accept.

To the back of your head,

Breathe into it and let it relax.

Breathe into it,

Notice how it feels and accept.

Up to the crown of your head,

Breathe into it and let it relax.

Breathe into it and accept.

If there is still a part of your body that feels tense,

Breathe into it and allow it to relax.

Let the tension flow out with your breath.

Take a moment to recognize how amazing you are.

This body of yours is so amazing,

Allowing you to be here and experience this life.

You are a miracle.

Feel this knowing permeate your body.

You are a living,

Breathing miracle on earth.

There is not another person exactly like you anywhere in the world and there never will be again.

Be aware of that tingling aliveness in your body as you repeat silently or out loud,

I am love.

Love.

Keep repeating this while I am quiet.

Love.

You are love in motion.

Be gentle with yourself as you go through the rest of your day.

Remember how special you are,

How unique.

Only one you ever in all of the history of the universe.

There will only ever be one you.

Give yourself a little hug and rub your upper arms.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes.
