Find yourself in a seated,
Comfortable position with the spine tall.
Breath is natural,
Flowing,
And easy.
Allow your mind to start to visualize large,
Snow-covered,
Majestic mountains.
Start to take your consciousness up into the clouds above these mountains.
Allow your consciousness to start to merge with the essence of water as you start to become the clouds.
Swirling over the mountains,
The storm starts to move in,
And slowly the clouds start to condense into snow.
You start to become a snowflake as you make your journey down from the skies,
Floating in the winds,
Down towards the mountains.
Eventually,
You land on the top of the snow-covered peaks,
And you start to settle.
More and more snow comes as you start to blend and become part of the snowpack.
The storm passes,
As they always do,
And the sun starts to beat down upon these mountains.
You can feel the warmth of the sun starting to beat down upon you as you start to shift from snow and melt into water.
Slowly,
You start to drip and make your way down the mountain.
Moving through crevices and cracks underneath the snow,
Starting to join with other water as you become a small alpine stream.
Sometimes moving fast as you crash down the mountain,
And sometimes moving slow as you pool and allow other water to begin to join with you on your journey.
You continue to flow down from the high peaks,
And you start to make your way into the forest.
Moving through the trees,
Starting to observe animals,
Flowers,
All the life that is around you.
At times,
Still moving fast,
Dropping down from waterfalls,
Crashing against rocks.
At times,
Moving slow as the water begins to pool.
You continue to make your way through the forest,
Gaining more and more water as the streams start to combine into a creek.
You continue flowing down from the forest,
And start to make your way into a canyon.
The walls of rock rise up on either side.
Moving through rocks,
Gently moving side to side as the river forms an S-curve.
You continue to make your way through the canyon,
Sometimes moving fast,
Sometimes moving slow.
And eventually,
You start to move into the foothills,
A different landscape than the high mountains above.
You see grassy fields,
Bushes,
Birds singing and flying through the environment.
Okay.
The river has gained a lot of water at this point and is starting to move slowly.
You can start to feel your consciousness relax as you float along the river,
Through the foothills,
Until eventually you make your way into the flatlands.
The river is even bigger now,
Meandering through the flatlands,
Floating on the river until you make your way to the entrance of a lake.
You float to the center of the lake,
At times the water is still,
And at times a breeze will blow and you'll feel the ripples of the air move through you.
Slowly,
You start to descend from the surface of the lake,
Down into the water.
One foot below the surface,
You start to feel a sense of peace.
You can still see the sun above you glistening through the water.
Three feet below the surface,
More peace,
More stillness,
A little bit less light and sun.
You make your way down to 10 feet,
Starting to become more dark,
More peaceful.
And eventually you find yourself near the bottom of the lake.
Complete silence,
Complete stillness.
Feel this stillness,
This presence,
This silence within yourself now.
Even when the wind blows across the surface of the lake,
There is still calmness,
Stillness underneath.
The ripples on the surface of the lake are like thoughts that pass through your mind.
Temporary,
Transient.
Your consciousness is the stillness,
The presence underneath.
No matter how hard the winds blow,
There will always be this presence,
Watching,
Observing,
Being.
Feel this calm presence within yourself.
Know that no matter how the winds blow,
No matter how choppy the top of the lake,
How choppy our mind feels,
We can always come to this place of presence,
This place of stillness.
It's alive deep within you.
Always there,
Always watching.
Allow yourself to feel the element of water within your body.
This element that can be calm and peaceful,
That can also crash and flow,
Carving the surface of the earth through its power and creating all life through its slowness and its stillness.
The power of this element lives within you.
And the power of this presence is always with you,
Below the surface,
Calm,
Present,
Still.
Give thanks for the sacred waters of your body,
The sacred waters of this earth and of the sky.
The sacred waters that give you life and give all other things life.
Allow yourself to slowly come back into this moment,
This space,
Carrying with you the wisdom of water,
The wisdom of stillness,
Of calmness,
Of flow.
When you're ready,
Keep this presence with you,
This stillness underneath the surface and open your eyes slowly in your own time.
And allow this element to move with you through the rest of your day.
Thank you for taking the time to connect with your deep wellspring of presence,
With the sacred element of water and with me on this journey.
Thank you.
