Our quality of life is dictated by how easily we carry our bodies and feel our emotions. Different life experiences leave a trace in our minds AND bodies. Traces in the mind are easily forgotten over time, but traces in the body are, unfortunately, not forgotten and are stored as knots and stress in different nooks and crannies. This is a step-by-step guide to progressively make the felt sense of our body more and more transparent. As we move through life, many events are stored in our body as tightness/stiffness that makes us feel restricted/constricted at best and dense and unhappy at worst. This course (recommended to be taken multiple times) is a way to dissolve these traces of our previous experiences IN the body. This is a very profound exploration where we guide our loving attention into all nooks and crannies and relieve any tension and stress that might be causing unease in our lives. In the process, we feel a lot lighter and relaxed in our bodies but it may also have some profound effects on the mind.


Meet your Teacher

Mitesh has been leading meditations at his workplace for over 8 years with the theme of Happiness. A Software Engineer by profession, his love for Happiness and Truth finds different forms of expression in his work life as well. His meditations, are a vehicle of wisdom and insight to share and reflect on the happiness we long for in daily life. Mitesh, a student of different traditions, finally found his home in the friendship and teachings of Rupert Spira and Francis Lucille, two of the finest non-dual teachers. They have really shaped Mitesh's sense of belonging and contribution to this world.

Lesson 1

The Felt Sense of The Body

This contemplation is the foundation of becoming familiar with the felt sense of the body. We often visualize our bodies as individual parts and merge the felt sense with the visual sense. This causes the felt sense to go in the background from where it, unconsciously most of the time, operates in various aspects of our lives. The felt sense of the body is where we experience the body as a flow of sensations.

Lesson 2

Showering the Body with Loving Attention

In this contemplation, we guide our attention – gently and lovingly – through various sensations of our body and acknowledge their presence. Some might be familiar sensations whereas some might be completely new – all are welcome in this loving contemplation!

Lesson 3

Bathing our Body with the Breath

Once we have acknowledged the various sensations of our body, we move on to bathing it with our breath. In this contemplation, we explore the various sensations and pour loving and gentle breath into them. This is where the tightness and stress knots start dissolving and are flushed out by our breath.

Lesson 4

Pouring the Body with Space

In this contemplation, we venture into a (metaphorical) deep tissue massage for the body where we “pour” space into the various sensations of our body. This exercise further advances the dissolving of the various traces of trauma and stress in our body into the adjoining space. We start experiencing deep relaxation at this point.

Lesson 5

Infusing Light Into our Body

Finally, we infuse the light of our awareness into the sensations of the body and make the light-like i.e., invisible but beaming with energy and vibration. As the sensations become transparent, we start feeling ease within ourselves and start connecting with our surroundings and other people with compassion and love!
