Hello.
Thank you for joining me.
I welcome you in this meditation for some grounding to slow down,
Let our nervous systems relax,
Let them restore and just settle.
Settle some of this anxious energy,
Some of the overwhelm.
Just let it go.
So if you're ready to begin,
Find yourself a comfortable space somewhere where you can be free of distractions.
You can sit up nice and tall or perhaps lie down.
Gently closing your eyes or dropping your gaze low.
Begin to notice the sensations of your body and where you meet with the ground beneath you.
Drawing energy up from the stability of the earth below you.
Acknowledging any thoughts or emotions in your mind and in your heart and then just letting them drift away like they were clouds in the sky.
Anchoring into the present moment by bringing your focus onto your breath.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose.
Opening the mouth to exhale.
Perhaps a sigh.
Repeating as many times as you'd like.
Perhaps each breath a little deeper,
A little slower.
Maintaining that anchor on the breath.
Feeling the support of the earth that is holding you.
Allowing your body to draw energy in with every inhale and then releasing any tension,
Stress or dis-ease with every exhale.
Settle.
Allow your body to relax as much as possible.
Imagine that you had roots that were extending from your body into the earth,
Deep into the earth.
The solid stable ground beneath you holding you here in the present moment.
Maintaining your focus on your breath and allowing yourself to relax even further every time you exhale.
And when you notice a thought arise,
Just let it drift away.
Returning your attention gently back to the sensations in your body.
The sensations that the breath is offering you here.
Just allowing your body to relax and soften as much as possible.
The muscles in your face begin to soften.
Your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Your hips relaxing into the earth beneath you.
Your hands and your feet release all effort of holding on.
And then return your attention back to your breath.
Steady.
Calm.
In and out.
Feel the flow of your breath from the crown of your head all the way down your spine and out through your feet and then back up again.
Flowing freely through your body,
Anchoring you in the present moment.
Being grounded in your body,
Being grounded in your energy,
Being grounded in your breath.
Take the deepest inhale and then release with a loud sigh.
Slowly bringing your awareness to the space around you.
Beginning to move gently.
Wiggling your fingers,
Your toes.
Carrying this sense of grounded energy with you as you continue out throughout the rest of your day.
Thank you for meditating with me.
I hope you have a wonderful,
Wonderful day.
