One way we can kickstart our day or begin with a new way of being,
Of awareness,
Is by bringing ourselves to this very moment.
For it is within this moment that all beginnings are,
Followed by this moment,
And then this moment,
And so on.
So I invite you to take a seat or posture that is supportive and kind,
Allowing the spine to be upright,
Not too tight,
Not too loose,
But comfortable and easy,
As we together take a nice,
Slow,
And easy breath.
And so as we fill the body with oxygen,
We're inviting the body to come into this moment.
So you might want to bring your awareness to the air around your body right now,
And we can just invite that in as we feel our sit bones on the chair.
So with this open,
Kind curiosity,
Just feeling into the physical sensation of your sit bones,
Meeting the cushion of the chair.
So you might feel some heat or spreading,
Maybe some tingling,
As we continue to notice the movement of sound.
So we begin to arrive just a little more.
And as you bring this awareness to your body here,
You might notice some parts of the body that are feeling a little tight,
A little crunchy,
Maybe the muscles all around the eyes,
And see if you can invite those to soften.
Softening at the jaw and the face,
Letting the face be calm,
Like warm water cascading down crown of the head,
Over the eyes,
Over the back of the head.
Softening,
Melding,
Like ice to water and water to air,
As we feel this sensation working through and softening through every muscle,
Bone,
Tendon,
Down the arms and the shoulders.
Softening the upper back and the mid-back and the low.
And inviting in a smile at your heart,
Softening the heart,
Softening the belly,
Softening down through the glutes and hip,
And feeling this opening,
This expansion of the thighs,
Down through the knees,
Down through the calves and the shins.
And the invitation to release just a little more through the ankles and the feet and the toes,
And out through the toes.
Feeling the body moving with the breath,
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of the breath.
As you feel into the body moving,
You might notice that your mind is thinking about all kinds of things.
And if you find that your mind is doing this,
It's not a problem.
It's what our minds do.
Our hearts beat and our lungs breathe and our minds,
They think.
We can just gently and kindly bring our awareness back to the breath,
A step at a time,
As I invite us to bring our awareness to sound.
Just that bare essence of tone or pitch,
Almost like we're dancing on the spark of the tone,
Just hearing and just being.
As we close,
As we come back into our bodies,
May you feel safe,
Protected,
And present to the unlimited beginnings that await.
