Welcome to this guided meditation and teaching.
I'm Michael Wormuth.
I invite you now to make yourself comfortable.
We will start with some music to help us turn our focus inward.
Thank you for listening.
It seems easy to forget that the one thing we all truly want is to be free,
To be free of doubt and worry,
Free of lack,
And free to just be ourselves,
Free to just be.
Our conditioning and the ego have led us to believe that we have lots of different desires and needs,
That if we only can get those,
We will feel better.
It has taken that one true desire,
To be authentically free,
And splintered it into many desires for things in the world and other desires.
But they never satisfy us,
And they are replaced by more and more desires.
And so what happens when you consider that all you want really is to be free,
To be at peace with yourself,
To know the peace of living in the truth,
Living in the unconditional,
Loving world of the truth.
For many people,
The idea that all we really want is the experience of the unconditional loving of the truth seems a charged experience or a charged idea.
It triggers people.
People have firm ideas and beliefs about love and what it is,
And whether they want it or not,
Because they have forgotten the feeling of being in a state of unconditional loving,
Which is the state of knowing the truth.
They are not different.
The truth is love,
And love is the truth.
We tend to think of the truth as an abstract idea,
A concept,
A belief system,
A group of ideas.
The truth is not abstract.
It is actually the ground of reality.
It is the energy,
The creative power of the infinite consciousness.
It is how we are created.
It is how the world is created.
There is nothing abstract about the truth.
The abstract ideas we hold are distractions,
Diversions.
We love to debate and argue and judge and hold grudges,
Which is a way of avoiding.
We may say we want reality,
We want to know the truth,
But we may not realize that is the ego speaking.
The ego is only interested in knowing the truth as an abstract concept.
It is not interested in letting go of control and experiencing the reality of the truth.
It has been given the job of making sure that doesn't happen.
That doesn't mean we can't say,
I want to know the truth and mean it,
But we must come to terms with the fact that the reason we don't know the truth is because within us a decision has been made to avoid it.
We have chosen the ego and control as the place for our trust and faith.
There is nothing wrong with that.
It's not bad.
It's not a sin,
But it isn't going to get us what we want.
There was a time when it seemed like that was the only choice,
And it may well have been the only choice that would keep us intact.
That time has passed.
We are not dependent children.
We are not mere human beings.
We are the creation of a perfect consciousness.
We are one with that consciousness.
We are not separate in any way.
All of the creative power of that consciousness is right here,
Right now within us.
It is us.
We are it.
Listen to these words carefully.
They tell you the truth about who you are.
They speak of the loving force within you.
It holds no judgment,
No criticism,
No condemnation.
You are unconditionally accepted and loved.
That is the truth.
It is only your mind that stops you from living in that truth,
And it is just a choice.
So what holds us back from letting go and surrendering to that paradise?
The paradise of being absolutely carefree,
Free of any burdens and obligations,
Free of any doubts and worries.
What is holding us back in this moment?
It's a choice we have now to know that the fear of letting go and surrendering is not relevant any longer.
There is no risk,
No threat,
Nothing to lose.
We cannot be harmed in any way by letting go and surrendering.
We know now that fear is the cause of our sense of separation.
We must bring our ability to reason,
Our knowledge of the truth to this moment and decide what it's going to be for us.
Nothing is stopping us from changing except ourselves.
Of course,
These choices are not necessarily conscious,
And are not able to be reversed until they are made conscious.
But every time we act as if we are a victim,
As if there is something against us,
As if we are powerless in some way,
We deny the reality of the choices we are making,
And we cannot change them.
They remain unreachable in the subconscious.
So we must be clear.
Are we claiming to be victims of some force or power that is blocking us?
That cannot be true.
There is no force against us in any way.
The loving,
Creative power within us is seeking to be known and expressed,
And we are denying it.
The truth is what we are.
It is what we are made of.
It is what we live in.
It is the truth of us.
We don't have to make it happy,
To make it love us.
We don't have to earn or deserve it,
Or be worthy.
It is already the truth and reality of this moment.
And every moment,
Nothing can change the reality of who and what you are.
In every moment,
We have a choice.
Where will we place our faith and trust?
Control or in the truth?
And once again,
Let us remind ourselves of the truth of who we are,
The unconditionally loved creation of an unconditionally loving power.
Love is the power.
Love is the creative force,
The energy of life.
It is what and who we are.
That is the truth.
Nothing can change that.
