Namaste and welcome.
My name is Monika and I'm so happy that you are here joining me for this chanting circle.
You don't need much for this session,
Just your voice,
Your breath and a little space to be with yourself.
If you'd like you can have a mala to count the chants,
But that's completely optional.
Please find a seat that feels comfortable and upright,
Open through your chest and neck.
Let's take a moment to arrive,
Close your eyes,
Feel the ground beneath you,
Let your spine gently rise and bring awareness to your breath.
Let's breathe together,
Three smooth,
Flowing breaths,
In through the nose and out through the nose.
Long inhale,
Long exhale.
One more time,
Deep inhale and long exhale.
Letting yourself arrive in clarity and calm.
Today we will chant the mantra HAM 108 times.
HAM is the Bija,
The seed mantra of the throat chakra,
Known as Vishuddha,
Located at the center of the throat.
This chakra is our center of communication,
Truth,
Self-expression and resonance.
It's the bridge between heart and mind.
Chanting HAM supports your ability to speak with clarity,
Listen with presence and express what feels authentic.
It helps to clear energy blockages in the neck and jaw and reconnect you with the power of your own voice.
As we chant you may wish to gently bring your awareness to the area around your throat and imagine the vibration radiating through your neck,
Jaw and shoulders.
There's no right or wrong way to join,
You can chant aloud,
HAM or simply listen and let the sound flow through you.
Let HAM be an invitation to inner throat,
Spaciousness and clarity.
Let's begin by chanting three slow HAMs together to tune in to the vibrations.
Clear and audible HA,
Open long AH and the resonant NN.
Let's inhale,
HA,
Inhaling,
One more inhaling.
And now we begin our 108 repetitions.
I'll be chanting with you and counting with my mala.
Let the sound ripple through your throat,
Feel the vibration in your neck,
Jaw,
Shoulders and chest.
Bring your awareness to the center of your voice and allow the sound to move gently and freely.
Let HAM guide you into throat expression and inner resonance.
Let's inhale together,
HA,
Now let the sound dissolve,
Feel the echo in your throat and chest.
Notice the space that opens when nothing is spoken.
Breathe in the stillness,
Allowing presence,
Softness and clarity to remain.
You may wish to place one hand lightly at your throat or upper chest.
Feel the quiet pulse,
The breath,
The openness within.
Begin to gently deepen your breath.
Move your fingers,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders.
Return softly.
Thank yourself for being here,
For chanting,
For giving space to your voice.
Let's close with one final HAM as a blessing for a clear expression and heartfelt presence.
Let's inhale together,
HA.
Namaste and thank you so much for joining this practice.
If this circle spoke to you,
I warmly invite you to return again,
Same time,
Same space.
The next chanting circle is on Friday and we will be chanting the mantra Aum for Ajna chakra.
I wish you a beautiful day ahead or a good night if it's your evening or night time.
Namaste.
