Welcome and thank you for being here.
Today I'd love to share something simple that helps me feel grounded and connected and that might help you too,
Especially when life feels a little too fast.
Tell me,
Have you ever noticed how sound can change how you feel?
A piece of music?
A soft voice?
Or even silence?
For me,
One of the simplest sounds is Aum.
Maybe you've heard of it.
Maybe you've even chanted it before.
But today I'd like to show you how chanting Aum can help you reconnect with your breath,
Your body,
And the quiet kind of strength,
A strength that's already inside you.
Aum is what we call a Bija mantra,
A seed sound.
Simple,
Powerful,
Vibrational.
You don't have to know Sanskrit and you don't need a specific tradition.
You can simply feel it and let it work for you.
Just try whispering it softly now.
Feel where the sound moves inside you,
Like a ripple spreading out in water,
Touching your breath,
Your body,
Your awareness.
Bija mantras don't try to explain anything.
They simply do their work through presence and through vibration.
So,
Let's try this together right away.
First,
Take a gentle inhale down into your belly,
All the way to your pelvic floor.
And as you exhale,
Let the sound arise even softly.
Let's do it once together.
Inhale.
Now,
Just notice how that felt.
Where did you feel the vibration?
In your chest?
In your face?
Or maybe just a sense of calm?
Good.
Let's go a bit deeper.
When chanting Aum,
Try to let the sound move upward.
The Aum begins low in your lower belly or pelvic floor.
The Aum vibrates in the middle in your belly.
The Aum rises up through your chest to your throat and face.
And the Aum gently closes the sound,
Vibrating softly in your forehead.
Let's try this together again.
Really feel how the sound travels.
Inhale.
Take a moment.
Notice any tingling,
Warmth,
Or quietness.
Beautiful.
One more detail.
Don't worry if your voice is soft.
You can whisper or even chant silently inside.
It's not about singing perfectly.
It's about sensing.
Feel how the vibration touches your breath,
Your body,
And your mind.
Shall we chant one last time together?
Inhale.
Wonderful.
Just observe how you feel now.
Perhaps a little lighter or calmer.
Even a few rounds of Aum can become a gentle reset,
Connecting you to stillness.
