Hello everyone,

Nancy here from Nancy Inspired and I'm here with the teacup wisdom for the month of May.

Now the teacups that I do are not divination,

They're not going to tell us what's happening in the future,

It's going to tell us what's going on right now,

What do we need to be aware of in the month of May,

What can we focus on for our highest and best good,

For our own evolution kind of thing.

So when I do a tea leaf reading,

The bottom of the cup is usually kind of the core sort of deeper issues,

Sometimes things from our past or history can come up in there and then the the middle of the cup is sort of what's going on right now,

What's happening,

What do we need to be aware of,

Obstacles,

Challenges,

Things like that.

And then the top of the cup is often sort of our highest self,

Like more kind of that soul evolution part,

Sometimes guides and spirit message will show up in the top of the cup.

So the cup for the month of May,

The first image is on the bottom of the cup and at first I wasn't really sure what it was,

I'm looking at it and it's kind of this creature that looks like it's been sort of put together and it's emerging out of the bottom,

Like the very depths of the cup and on the tip of the tail is a child and as I was looking at it,

I'm like,

What is that?

And the word chimera or chimera came up and to be honest,

I didn't really know what a chimera or chimera,

I'm not even really sure how to say it,

Was but I looked it up and it is a thing which is hoped for but is illusory or impossible to attain.

So I thought that was really interesting because there's a child on there as well and so the message that comes from that is about how some of the things that are causing us stress,

Some of the things that cause us anxiety have a lot more to do with our expectations than what is actually happening.

So as children,

We grow up with these expectations that this is how certain things are supposed to be.

Society teaches us this is how certain things are supposed to be.

Social media will teach us or even culture and friends and family,

We get this sort of idea of how are things supposed to work out or how things are supposed to be.

Now the problem with that is most of the time,

Our biggest setbacks are because our expectations weren't met or things are not going the way we had expected and so what I'm hearing in terms of the message this month is just be careful about the types of expectations that we're holding ourselves to and that some of those expectations aren't actually helpful for us and they aren't actually serving us and that we need to take a kind of a look at that as that something illusory that is impossible to attain and as we let go of our expectations,

Now that doesn't mean let go of our goals and let go of our dreams but it means let go of some of those things that we hoped for that didn't quite work out the way we planned and to recognize that we are on a journey.

We are on a journey and the fact that a child is attached to this chimera is the idea that it's asking us to look at things with a bit of a childlike innocence.

Children don't know what to expect necessarily.

They don't know what they don't know and so yes of course children can have acute disappointments.

Just asked my four-year-old granddaughter on that one.

There isn't this sense of what things should be and this sense of disappointment because they're learning.

Everything's an adventure.

So I'm hearing let go of some of the expectations that are disappointing us,

That are causing anxiety,

That are making us feel like we have to be a certain way or do a certain thing and instead approach it with a little bit of that childlike wonder that childlike excitement and enthusiasm for the actual journey ahead.

Now the next image in the cup kind of goes along with it and it's a being that's that's really burdened down carrying a big giant sack of something and above it is as like a dark cloud hanging right over that person.

But what's interesting is all around that person is completely clear and so what it's talking about again is kind of holding on to that we're being burdened down and holding on to things that don't serve us.

We're holding burdens for other people and it's it's putting that dark cloud over our head.

I very recently heard a story and and this relates to this part of the teacup and it's where the Buddha is giving a talk and someone is heckling the Buddha and and yelling at him and saying you know terrible things and and the Buddha just completely ignores him and then the next town the Buddha is teaching and talking and the same person comes up and is yelling and heckling from the back of the crowd and and harassing the Buddha and again the Buddha doesn't pay any attention,

Doesn't pay any mind.

Then the third town the the person actually comes up to the Buddha and says I've been heckling you and following you and and tormenting you through all of your talks and and you completely ignore me how is that possible?

Well the Buddha asked him a question if you have a gift that you're trying to give to someone and they don't accept that gift who owns the gift?

Well the person said well I do of course because I haven't been able to give it to the person.

Well the Buddha said I don't accept your gift of anger and real and the man realized what was going on.

So in this image we're being asked not to accept gifts from other people that are really not ours to accept that are more burdens than they are something that serves us and this goes along with someone's anger,

Someone's guilt or shame,

Someone's control or blame,

Some of the different things that the people around us are trying to to gift us.

We're being asked at this point to not take them on,

Not allow them to create a dark cloud over our head,

Let it go.

Let and notice that as you let it go there's there's some clear space as well.

So don't hold on to gifts that are not serving you.

Then the next image I absolutely love this image so it's this sort of goat like person goat like creature with a child and they're on a mountaintop.

This is on the in the middle of the cup so this is actually so is the other image the other image was in the middle of the cup.

So this is in the middle of the cup so this is kind of what's happening right now.

There's a magic lamp,

There's a there's a a bag of stuff and then there's this sort of mythical sort of goat-like looking creature and another child and what this is about is understand that we are on a journey and it just like in a fantasy story when when people are on a journey and they're traveling and there's heroes and there's villains and there's adventures and there's things that go wrong and there's things that go right and you know that's just like our life.

We don't know what's around the corner.

We don't know the villains that are going to show up in our life.

We don't know the heroes that are going to show up in our life.

We don't know the obstacles and the challenges but we do know that we are on an adventure and with a fantasy story the as the main character is on this adventure they recognize gifts and talents and skills and abilities and and evolution that they didn't know they had until they were actually on the adventure.

So it's asking us to view things right now as an adventure as a story as part of the story and that we are the main characters in the story and we are evolving and we are not even aware of the magic and the mysticism and the wonder that we have inside of ourselves and the more that we journey especially during this month the more that we accept that we are on a mystical journey we are part of this story of our story and we don't know the endings and we don't know the challenges and we don't know the villains and the heroes but we're we're going along on this journey and the more we accept that it's it is our story the more we can also accept the magic and the mystery and the gifts and the gifts and the strengths and the talents that we are evolving as we are journeying in this story.

And the last image in this one was moving towards the top of the cup it wasn't at the top of the cup but it was moving towards there and this image was a whale and the whale has its tail up and the air blowing out of the blowhole of the spout and this one is just a little reminder to breathe just take a minute sometimes and just exhale just breathe and that as we're going along on our adventures on our journeys as we're not accepting gifts that don't serve us in terms of people's anger or frustrations or stresses or tensions as we are recognizing that we need to let go sometimes of some of the expectations that we're holding for ourselves and holding ourselves to that we have to remember to just breathe just let go exhale let it all out so let's just take a deep breath together and let's just let it out one big whoosh maybe let's do that again that felt really good so let's take a deep breath in together and then let's let it out with one big whoosh just like a whale breathing out in that spout so my friends i hope that the wisdom for the month of may finds you well stay tuned for wisdom for the month of june

Loved the imagery. May resonated with me even in January. Releasing breath like a whale through its blow hole is a tool I'm going to keep using ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ
