Welcome to this Yoga Nidra relaxation practice to go beyond the physical and navigate the energetic and subtle realms allowing you to experience deep presence and joy.
Please lie down on your back in Shavasana and sense the body in a straight line from the crown of your head to your tailbone.
Allow your arms to be a little away from your torso with your palms turned up so your shoulders can completely relax.
Allow the legs to be slightly apart,
Feet full to the side so that your hips can completely relax.
Make whatever adjustments so that you feel absolutely comfortable knowing there is no need for any further movement.
So if the desire to move does arise and simply just watch it,
It will probably just go away.
If you do need to move then just do so with the utmost awareness.
Once again settle into stillness knowing there is no need for any further movement.
Gently float your eyes closed.
Center yourself.
Take a deep breath in and as you breathe out sense all your worries flowing out and simply letting go.
Take another long slow deep inhale.
Keep expanding your lungs,
Your ribs,
Your chest and belly and then exhale very gently,
Exhale completely let go.
Sense your whole self let go.
And now become aware of the sounds in the distance.
Become aware of the most distant sounds you can hear.
Simply follow them for just a few moments and allow your attention to move from sound to sound to sound.
And then gradually bring your attention to closer sounds,
To sounds outside the room and sounds inside the room.
And start to develop your awareness of the room that you're in without opening your eyes.
Visualise clearly the four walls and ceiling,
Your body lying on the floor.
See your body lying on the floor.
Come to experience the existence of your physical body lying in stillness.
Total awareness of your body lying in stillness.
Sense relaxation from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes.
From your toes to your head.
Simply focus on the gentle rhythm of your natural breath as if your whole body is breathing from head to toe.
From toes to head as one giant wave without pause.
And now bring your centre point of awareness down into your heart with full awareness.
This is the centre point of your being.
Please make your resolve,
Your sankalpa,
A simple short statement in the affirmative with total feeling and conviction and gratitude for its fruition.
Please silently repeat your sankalpa three times within.
And now release it even deeper into the recesses of the mind body to take root and begin its manifestation.
We will now begin with the rotation of consciousness.
Please bring your awareness to the centre of your forehead and prepare yourself for a grand journey around the body.
Please bring your attention to the forehead and visualise a blue star.
Visualise this blue star vibrating with bright star energy.
As we continue the journey through the body please place a blue star on each of these points.
Bit of the throat,
Blue star,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Tip of the right thumb,
Tip of the index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
Right wrist,
Elbow,
Right shoulder,
Blue star at the pit of the throat,
Left shoulder,

With each breath feel the radiance,
The vibration of the blue star.
In the heart centre,
Right breast,

Navel,
Pubis,
Blue star at the perineum,
Right hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Tips of the toes from the little toe to the big toe,
Right ankle,
Knee,
Hip,
Blue star at the perineum,
Left hip,

Ankle,
Tips of the toes from the little toe to the big toe.
Left ankle,
Knee,
Hip,
Blue star at the perineum,
Navel,
Heart,
Centre of the throat.
Feel the vibration of the blue star in the centre of the throat.
Middle of the forehead,
The rise and fall of your breath.
Feel the breath vibrate in the whole body,
In all the joints,
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes,
From the tips of your toes to the top of your head.
Feel all the stars at the same time.
Light,
Vibration,
One single presence,
Vibrating,
Luminous,
Energy points,
One single field,
One star,
No pause,
Your breath,
Never ending,
Wave,
Allow the body to breathe through all the points.
Allow it to radiate with light and vibration.
We will now start with the polarity of opposites.
Please sense cold in your entire body,
From the crown of your head to the tips of your toes.
It's as if your whole body is so cold that you're walking through the snow on a cold winter's night.
Feel it.
Feel it deeply.
Even if there is pain,
Still feel it deeply.
Know that this will pass.
Feel the cold,
Cold winter's night,
Snow.
Now feeling the opposite polarity of warmth.
Please sense the sun on your face on a warm summer's day.
The sun on your forehead,
Your cheeks,
Your chest.
Feel it.
Sense it.
Your body is becoming so warm that there is even a trickle of sweat on your brow.
Feel it deeply.
Now experiencing both polarities at once,
The cold of the snow,
The warmth of the sun.
Cold of the snow,
The warmth of the sun.
Feel both at once.
And now simply allowing all sensations to dissolve back into the quiet landscape of consciousness,
The ever-present eternal stream of consciousness.
Refocus at the eyebrow center.
Enter into concentration.
We will now move into rapid visualization.
As best you can,
Create the visuals and images.
See an infinite dark blue ocean.
Rolling waves.
Look above and see a dark sky.
Look in front and see an infinite ocean with rolling waves.
Sense the waves and the ocean as your own untapped,
Unconscious potential.
Open to your infinite mind and potential through the natural grace of the rolling waves.
Move closer to what is yet unknown in your own mind,
To what is unseen in your own mind.
Open and receive these impressions with love and gratitude.
Feel open and inspired to merge with a deeper aspect of your true nature.
See infinite waves on a vast dark ocean.
Then just allow these images to pass rapidly.
Don't get stuck on any one,
Just move to the next as you hear them.
Full moon.
Rising sun.
Setting sun.
Eagle soaring.
Small child playing.
Large bonfire.
A group of yogis chanting around the fire.
A vast ocean.
Clouds flowing through the sky.
A rose garden.
Single red rose.
A large bunion tree.
A dense wooded forest.
A winding road through the mountains.
A mountain stream cascading downwards.
A small child playing.
An old house.
A yogi in meditation.
An infinite ocean.
An infinite ocean.
An infinite ocean.
A yellow square.
White crescent moon.
Red inverted triangle.
Smokey blue hexagon.
An absolutely clear circle.
A thousand petal lotus.
A daughter playing.
And now tune back into my fingers.
Into my voice.
Gently tune back into my voice.
Drop in your seed of transformation,
Your sankalpa.
Mentally repeat it now.

Pass completely back into form,
The land of embodiment,

Be aware of the smell and the taste that is present.
And just for a moment open your eyes and take in form.
Then close your eyes and sense deep relaxation in harmony and balance,
The outer world and your inner existence.

Excellent short practice, very relaxing. I'd prefer no jingle at the end though so that I can go on resting if I need to.
