In this meditation, we source strength from the Breath and the Earth, expanding our capacity to carry Light. Emphasizing the exhale, we first melt into gravity, then concentrate our light. We draw on a form of breathwork from Aikido to potentiate energy. Created at summer Solstice and published around the midpoint of Summer, this practice puts us in touch with the Receptive Principle in all of us. (Pairs well and originally recited with the mindfulness poem, "Awakening Now," by Danna Faulds.)

Tuning into what meditation position actually feels good today in this moment that it felt best to lie down or sit or even do a standing meditation letting yourself feel into what's gonna most connect you and relaxing into that relaxing into the earth that's holding you I'm tuning into that expansion and contraction which is always already happening the breath now with my breath flowing without seeking to change it but rather honoring honoring how it wants to flow in this moment and I invite you to tune into the out breath again letting it be natural but just highlighting the out breath and if we keep following the out breath it helps bring us deeper deeper to the body once our consciousness drop closer and closer to the ground even perhaps if it feels good to you inviting a melting a melting of this body to the earth body and just as a inhale can be an expansion of energy you know it's like an explosion life force out towards the infinite the exhale can be a contraction of energy and what happens to light when it condenses contracts can become like a laser really potent the contraction can potentiate energy I'm just feeling that quality concentration with the exhale and sinking to the ground concentrating sinking the air And Aikido.

And so we keep breathing.

The exhale is where all that expanded life force comes in,

Becomes an infinitely,

Infinitely condensed point of light.

Expands to the furthest reaches of the infinite.

Then it contracts and exhales to an infinitesimally small point.

So I'll just let you sit with the earth and the exhale,

The feminine principle.

If you find yourself wandering or getting lost,

Find the exhale,

Come back down.

To the earth,

To Pachamana.

The feminine principle.

The womb that is pregnant with possibility.
