The Creative Energy Of Earth

Take a deep,

Centering breath.

Fill your body with the life force of air and follow it down into your belly and the fire of your soul.

Exhale.

Breathe again.

Inhale.

Close your eyes.

Your body is always deeply connected to the earth and ready to receive the energy that flows infinitely into the space around you.

Feel your bare feet upon a bed of soft moss.

Tilt your head back and look up through the leaves of towering trees to the blue sky beyond.

Feel the gentle warmth of life and coolness of water flowing through the strands of moss beneath your feet.

Feel it calling you down into its softness.

The trees tower higher as you shrink down into the moss until the strands are as high as your shoulders.

To each side of you are bark-encrusted walls and towering mountains covered in lichen.

A beetle vast and glistening moves through the undergrowth near an ocean puddle.

All around you is crunching,

Munching and rustling as the creatures of the forest floor go about their business.

So close to the soil you can hear the worms winding their way beneath and a million sounds of insects,

Invertebrates and bacteria fashioning the sustenance of life itself.

So many beings creating,

Following their path.

You can feel the heartbeat of the earth merging with your own.

Looking up through translucent parasols of tree-sized fungi you feel the call of the light.

You expand again,

Gliding your hand over the bark of the trees until you take flight.

Floating up through the branches and into the sunshine.

Taking a deep breath and soaking in the sun.

Up and up,

Being caressed by the clouds,

The land green beneath you.

Mountains reaching up to the heavens,

Deserts stretching on and on.

Snow-covered poles thick with ice.

Oceans so wide you cannot see their edges.

Everywhere you look something wild and extraordinary speaks to you.

From the individual to the whole,

Millions upon millions of expression of life,

Form and meaning.

No beginning,

No end.

A story of riotous creativity and the insatiable desire for life.

The heart of consciousness,

The jewel in the dark expanse of the universe.

And the earth whispers,
