Really,
Any of us have the power to change the world.
I witnessed this in Walmart on Black Friday of all days,
And I had to run into the store and it was crowded,
And a cashier had been asked to work past her break time,
And she looked tired,
And you could tell this was the worst news she'd heard all day.
But anyway,
She turned and gracefully helped the next customer,
And she even packed the woman's bags for her,
And without any complaint or irritation,
And really,
You know,
If she hadn't done this,
We would all have been waiting for 10 minutes.
It was one of those situations.
But it was just sweet that she did that so,
You know,
Open-heartedly after losing her break time.
And the woman in front of me,
Interestingly enough,
She acknowledged this,
You know,
This woman for working past her break time and thanked her for it.
And then,
About 30 seconds later,
She said,
And I really want to validate you for how you treated that woman and how you helped her and didn't show any irritation at all.
And there was this pause,
And the cashier registered that somebody had witnessed her,
And somebody had seen her humanity and her heart.
And she just relaxed,
And all this resentment fell away from her,
And her face brightened,
And it would have strengthened her.
And I thought to myself,
You know,
The woman in front of me had just warmed up the world a bit,
And she'd witnessed and embraced the cashier's humanity and stood for it,
Which would have actually strengthened her own heart.
And,
You know,
Because karma exists,
It would have set up good karma to come to her in the future.
So,
I just wanted to say all this,
Because,
You know,
We have so much power,
And sometimes we don't see it.
You know,
It's just our choice with how to handle things.
And I'll give you a funny example of this,
Too.
I was buying something off,
You know,
EBay or something,
And somebody volunteered to drop it off.
And they had a washing machine person coming from 10 to 2,
You know,
In the,
You know,
Variable times.
And they were faced with,
You know,
Driving over to North Van and,
You know,
Mid-afternoon on the Saturday after Friday.
And you could tell,
You know,
He was a little disheartened,
But he'd promised to drop it off to me,
So he stuck.
So,
I said,
Well,
You just come between 8 and 9 in the morning.
And,
You know,
The light dawned,
And he went,
Oh,
I never thought of that.
And you could tell that he had been feeling kind of hopeless and resentful at being stuck with his delivery.
But he,
You know,
The opportunity to come earlier was just sitting there for him to,
You know,
Ask if that was possible for me.
And then when he came here,
He said it was just so peaceful being over in North Van,
And nature was so strong,
And that it had made his day on a lot of different levels,
You know.
But,
You know,
Sometimes we don't see,
Like,
He was going to be a helpless victim.
And,
You know,
Seeing the opportunity to come earlier,
His day was better.
Anyway,
I just,
You know,
I just wanted to say all these things,
Because we can read spiritual books till the cows come home.
But,
You know,
It's actually how we navigate in our lives that matters.
Okay.
Well,
I hope these help.
As always,
I hope this.
And bless your dear hearts.
And just keep going and have faith in yourself.
Okay.
Blessings.
