Hello,

Welcome to this guided meditation to help relieve your pet's anxiety.

Do note that this should only be done when safely able to do so,

Proceeding gently and patiently,

Respecting your pet's comfort levels and boundaries.

If at any time your pet has decided to move around,

Resituate him or herself,

Or even relocate to a different area,

You may continue your meditation.

Your pet will still benefit from the calming atmosphere you've created.

When it's time for you to place your hand on your pet,

You may motion your hand movements toward wherever they are with the intent to provide a gentle and safe place for them to alleviate their anxiety.

Through regular practice of this meditation with your cherished companion,

They will gradually grow more accustomed to it,

Eventually joining you for longer durations.

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you and your pet can relax together.

Sit or lie down comfortably with your pet close by.

Take a few deep breaths to center yourself and release any tension.

Using the Hara technique,

Expand your stomach as you breathe in through your nose.

Hold for two seconds and release through your nose or your mouth,

Whichever is most comfortable for you,

As your stomach retracts and relaxes.

Again,

Deep breath in,

Hold for two seconds,

And exhale.

Let's begin by connecting your heart space with your pet's heart space.

Envision a radiant light emanating from the center of your heart.

The color green is associated with the heart chakra,

But you may envision any light that is soothing to your senses.

As you inhale deeply,

Visualize this luminous flow expanding,

Filling your heart with warmth and brightness.

With each exhale,

Picture this light extending to your pet's heart center,

Enveloping them in this soothing embrace.

With your next inhalation,

Extend this same radiant light to surround your pet's heart center,

And as you exhale,

Visualize that light returning to your own heart,

Creating a continuous cycle of shared energy and connection.

Continue this rhythmic breathing,

Observing the light forming a figure-eight shape,

Or the infinity symbol,

As it surrounds both your heart and your pet.

Inhale and exhale in sync with this infinite motion,

Creating a sense of harmony and unity between you and your beloved Buchanan.

Now envision a serene setting in your mind's eye,

Whether it's a tranquil garden,

A serene beach,

A majestic forest,

Or the still peaks of snow-capped mountains.

Let your imagination transport you to a place where you feel at peace.

Picture your pet in this scene,

Completely at ease and content.

Is your cherished animal companion beside you?

Perhaps they're laying at your feet on a sandy shore,

Observing the rhythmic crash of ocean waves from a distance.

Or visualize a light sapphire of leaves created by a gentle breeze.

Do you hear the chirping of birds perched high up in the trees?

Or maybe you feel the gentle chill of snowflakes falling.

Whatever it is that you imagine,

Sense,

Feel,

Or smell is perfect.

What is your pet doing in this very moment of tranquility?

Imagine them frolicking in the grass,

Exploring the sandy shoreline,

Chasing dragonflies,

Sniffing the flowers,

Or simply basking in the beauty of nature's embrace alongside you.

Allow this serene imagery to envelop you both in a sense of calm and relaxation.

Let's start by focusing on the gentle touch of your hands,

Beginning with your pet's head or ears.

Guide their attention towards your hands as you softly stroke their coat or skin with the palms of your hands and fingertips.

As you move along their body,

Gently encourage them to relax,

With a calm and gentle tone,

Ensuring that your beloved pet can hear your soothing words repeating these phrases as you continue.

Relax your ears.

Relax your forehead.

Relax your cheek.

Relax your neck.

Relax your back.

Relax your paws.

Relax your tail.

If you or your pet prefer,

You may repeat the motions in one spot.

Follow what feels best for your pet's comfort and well-being.

You may pause this meditation at any time and continue working with your pet for as long as you both find beneficial.

Speak softly,

Reassuring your pet,

And offer positive affirmations.

You can use the suggested affirmations or your own words.

You are safe.

You are loved.

You are perfect.

You are calm and relaxed.

I love you.

Repeat these affirmations several times,

Allowing the words to resonate deeply.

If you'd like,

You may pause the meditation again as needed.

Remember to communicate with your pet throughout this connection and remain mindful of each part of their body,

From their head to their tail or paws.

Now,

As you continue with this ritual,

Visualize any tension or anxiety dissipating from your pet's body with each exhale.

Picture it melting away into the surrounding air,

Leaving behind a profound sense of peace and tranquility.

Be attentive to your pet's body language and adapt your touch accordingly.

You may pause this meditation if you'd prefer.

We will gradually conclude this meditation by slowly bringing your awareness back to the present moment.

Take a few more deep breaths together,

And when you and your pet feel ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Begin by wiggling your fingers and rotating your wrists to ease back into the present space.

Take a moment to express gratitude for this time spent together,

Acknowledging the bond between you and your pet.

Reflect on the love and companionship you share.

Namaste.
