Xyloporta is more a hamlet than just a villa in Greece with a pool. It consists of seven traditional olive-pickers cottages. Each cottage has been converted and modernized to a high standard while retaining its unique character, combining the raw beauty of Greece with a sea view villa. The cottages sit around a tranquil courtyard on a secluded 5 acre estate surrounded by olive groves, gracefully situated on a hill overlooking the Ionian Sea. The interiors are sympathetic to the heritage of the site, decorated in clean and classic whites and blues; with basins hand-carved from the local limestone, the bathrooms are all furnished with good quality fittings, towels and toiletries. Out of all the villas to rent in Zakynthos, it is unique.

I Can’t Recommend this Strongly Enough. I was going through anxiety and overthinking. This was my first ever retreat and I selected it as I love the outdoors, so the fact it featured mindful walking really appealed -also I have never tried yoga but this retreat made it clear it was accessible to beginners, which was ideal for me. The retreat location was perfect and meditations by the beach were incredible, and memories will be life long. I accomplished the ability to calm my mind and the techniques to use when feeling anxious. Angela is a wonderful teacher -empathetic, warm, and welcoming. She made me feel special and cared for, and the food was amazing -so plentiful and totally delicious. Special mentions for the lentil and sweet potato pie and the tiffin -delicious. I really feel you couldn’t choose a better retreat -the accommodation is lovely, clean, and spacious, and the setting is beautiful. The pace of activities is perfect -fabulous introduction to meditation, mindfulness, and hatha and yin yoga -I can’t recommend this strongly enough -wonderful restorative retreat that has helped me to reconnect with nature and find inner peace.

Outstanding Host and Retreat I was looking for a retreat in August and this one was just what I was looking for. This retreat delivered what it said and more. I felt the weight of my shoulders was lifted and the reset button reset. Angela was the perfect host and teacher. She nourished our mind, soul and body. The food was so good, we were surprised at every meal with more delicious treats. I don’t have enough words to praise her. In fact, I will be looking forward to going back again next year and will recommend her to friends.
