Thank you for being here now with me.
Let's sit,
Be,
And breathe together as one.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or laying down.
Gently close your eyelids and bring your awareness to your breath,
Following it from inhalation to exhalation,
Allowing your body to soften with each successive breath cycle.
Each round includes an inhale and an exhale.
Let's begin.
With eyes still closed,
Let's do three more shared breaths,
But this time,
Direct your attention and thus your energy to the center of your chest,
Or even your heart.
You can bring a gentle touch to your chest if you find that helpful,
And or visualize a white or gold glow around your heart.
With each round of breath and attention on your heart,
Say in your mind or gently utter loving,
Grateful,
Compassionate heart.
Let's begin.
This excerpt is from the book,
Prayers of the Cosmos,
By Neil Douglas Klotz,
Which elaborates on the richness of sound meaning in the Aramaic language.
Sound meaning is where one can feel direction,
Color,
Movement,
And other sensations as certain sacred words resonate in the body.
This is from page 41,
The Lord's Prayer,
One possible new translation from the Aramaic.
O birther,
Father-mother of the cosmos,
Focus your light within us,
Make it useful.
Create your reign of unity now.
Your one desire then acts with ours,
As in all light,
So in all forms.
Grant what we need each day in bread and insight.
Lose the cord of mistakes binding us,
And we release the strands we hold of others' guilt.
Don't let surface things delude us,
But free us from what holds us back.
From you is born our ruling will,
The power and the life to do,
The song that beautifies all,
From age to age it renews.
Truly,
Power to these statements.
May they be the ground from which all my actions grow.
Amen.
Thank you for joining me to the sacred temple of your heart.
May you be nourished with beauty-filled moments.
