From Shane Piñata,
I'm Colleen Thomas.
This is Everyday Magic for Ukraine.
Today we anchor into the power of solidarity.
Welcome to The Circle.
Welcome to Everyday Magic for Ukraine,
Where we honor Ukraine and we also practice self-care to stay strong as allies.
If you're new here,
Welcome.
I am so glad you are with us.
I'm glad to be arriving with you in Circle and I invite you to take a moment to find your seat in the Circle and to do whatever you need to do to bring yourself into this moment.
That might be taking a deep breath or perhaps taking a couple of deep breaths.
It might be doing a little stretching or a little shaking or making a little contact with the body.
Perhaps placing your hands together,
Feeling the warmth.
Perhaps touching your body in some way that conveys a sense of presence and companionship in this moment.
And just allow yourself to experience whatever you've chosen to do as you allow yourself to arrive with us right now.
So today we anchor into the power of solidarity.
And for this brief meditation,
I would love for you to grab a pencil and paper,
Or this is something you might just be able to do in your mind.
So the first thing I'd love for you to do is just take a breath and center yourself in your moment,
In your day,
Wherever you are.
Just come home to yourself.
Great.
And now from this place of centering in yourself,
I'd like you to consider why are you supporting Ukraine?
What is it for you that is the value,
The personal value that you have in yourself that is calling you to step up and support Ukraine right now?
Identify what that is and write that down in the center of a piece of paper.
You might feel that all people should be free and safe.
All countries should have their innate,
Integrous boundaries.
You might feel people shouldn't be bullied.
Notice what you feel and write that down.
So now around this core value that you wrote down,
Draw a circle.
And now we're going to do another layer around the outside of that.
And this is where I'd love for you to list anybody who is doing this work also,
Who supports you.
Let's make this first layer be our friends and our contacts who are Ukrainian.
People who speak with the knowledge because it is their situation.
People who speak with authority because it is their situation and their country and unfortunately their war.
So go ahead and list if you have Ukrainian contacts or friends or family.
So now you have your value,
Your core value in the center and your Ukrainian friends,
Supporters,
Information sources right around there.
Now draw another circle around that.
And we're going to write one more area.
These people on the outside of the circle are people who maybe are non-Ukrainian who support you in your work or who are also supporting Ukraine's freedom and integrity.
This might be your friends or family who help you support Ukraine,
Other non-Ukrainians you work with,
NGOs,
Non-profits,
Journalists.
The people who you work with to help support the people who are actually on the ground in Ukraine or who have that heritage.
And now I invite you to just sort of sit back and look at your list,
Look at your drawing and notice what each of these people are or entities are doing.
How are they working toward your core value that you wrote in the center?
And is there any way you could maybe collaborate with them?
And what might collaborating or coordinating with them look like?
If this core value is truly deep within you,
It's most likely the reason you're here today.
So notice that you are a vibrant,
Vibrant part of this picture you've drawn.
May we each identify our core values in supporting Ukraine and may we find the people that help us move toward those goals.
May it be so.
Thank you so much for being with us today.
Your presence,
Your energy,
And your heart make all the difference in healing our world.
Remember to breathe today,
Breathe and expand,
And I hope you join us again next time.
Please consider inviting a friend.
