This is guided meditation in which you just have to listen and follow the meaning of the words.
There is nothing to be done,
Nothing to be accomplished.
This is simply an appointment with myself.
Just to be myself when I'm completely retired.
When I spend a quality time with myself with no agenda.
Or mind set aside all the agenda for the time being.
We have an appointment with ourself.
And therefore,
Everything else can wait.
Because everything is in order as it is.
I am in order as I am.
I already am what I want to be.
And therefore,
Truly speaking,
There is nothing to be accomplished,
Nothing to be achieved.
And therefore,
Oh mind,
Let go the idea of accomplishing something,
Of achieving something.
Let go the idea of becoming something.
Have no anxiety.
Because I am not seeking even a new experience.
I am not seeking even a different sensation.
I am just seeking to be myself as I am.
Because I am alright as I am.
In fact,
Everything is alright as it is.
Nothing needs to change.
And I also don't need to change.
This meditation is to appreciate who I am,
What I am.
I am constantly engaged in doing something,
Accomplishing something,
Constantly engaged in trying to become something.
Not recognizing that in the very attempt of becoming,
There is a denial of what I am.
I have taken for granted that I am not alright as I am.
It is that assumption which drives me to do something,
To achieve something,
To become something.
But Vedanta teaches us that I am alright as I am.
Something is in order as it is,
Where it is.
I am in order as I am,
Where I am.
And ever there is no reason for any anxiety,
No reason for any tension.
Because I do not have to prove myself.
I am not seeking anyone's approval.
I am not seeking anyone's attention.
I am just by myself.
And I am myself,
A simple,
Conscious person with no agenda,
Free from all agenda.
When the mind is free from all agenda.
Free from the need to become something.
Free from any expectation or demand.
The mind is silent.
It is at peace with herself.
There is silence in spite of thoughts.
There is peace in spite of sounds.
Whenever I believe that I am not alright as I am,
Then there is an agenda.
But right now I am poised to appreciate myself as I am.
There is no attempt to become something,
No attempt to achieve something,
No attempt to experience something.
All attempt is let go.
Then I remain a simple,
Silent,
Conscious person.
Simple,
Silent,
Conscious person I am.
And this simple,
Silent self is always there in the background.
But a mind which is active,
Which wants to achieve something,
That mind denies the simple,
Silent self.
When there is no agenda in the mind,
When there is no expectation,
When there is no demand,
When there is no activity,
Then the simple,
Silent,
Conscious person that I am becomes evident.
In fact,
Silence is my nature.
Even when the mind is thinking,
I who is conscious of the mind is silent.
When the mind is at peace with itself,
When there is no conflict in the mind,
Then I can appreciate that I am the simple,
Silent,
Conscious person that is the core person that I am.
Just as in the ocean,
In spite of all the disturbance on the surface,
How there is profound silence in the depths of the ocean,
And similarly also,
Even when there is disturbance on the surface of the mind,
There is the profound silence in the depths of the mind.
That simple,
Silent,
Conscious person I am.
