For this meditation,
We're going to be focused on our heart.
Our heart is the core of how we show up,
How we feel,
The capacity that we have for ourselves and for everyone else in our lives.
We need to take time connecting with our heart,
Investing in our heart.
So I want you to find a comfortable place where you're not distracted.
If you can listen to this meditation with headphones on,
I would highly recommend it.
When you're ready,
I want you to begin focusing just on the breath,
Finding some steady inhales in through the nose,
Out through the nose,
Or maybe out through the mouth.
And with these first handful of breaths,
Just let yourself begin softening.
Just let yourself enjoy the sounds of the music.
Maybe you find a little bit of lightness.
Maybe a moment where everything just kind of drifts away.
You can just be here.
Just breathe.
It may feel really nice at some point to bring a hand or both hands to your heart or the area of your chest.
Feel your inhales filling up your chest,
Filling up your heart,
Softening,
Letting go with every exhale.
We can hold on in our hearts.
All the stories,
The wounds,
The hurt,
The traumas,
The baggage.
If we're not mindful,
We can hold those things and they build up in our heart.
And this meditation is just about connecting back.
Fill it up with good.
Let go on every exhale.
Inhale.
Breathe in the good.
Exhale what doesn't serve you.
Imagine your heart with these pores.
And on every exhale,
Just let it go.
Let it go.
You don't need to hold it anymore.
Feel and imagine all of those stories,
Those feelings pouring out with each exhale.
Fill your heart up with the infinite love that you have,
That you are capable of.
And create more space on the exhale.
Let it all out.
And you may find that in an exhale here and there,
It may feel good to sigh,
Hum,
Chant,
OM.
Maybe you find some flow,
Some lightness,
Some brightness.
As you move that breath and you create that space,
Do you feel it?
Just a glimmer.
The breath becomes lighter.
The exhale becomes a surrender.
A purging,
A cleaning and cleanse.
Good.
Move your hands however you like.
It may feel good to lightly tap your chest,
Your heart,
Your collarbones.
It might feel good to lightly rub or massage.
Give your heart what it needs.
It can be scary.
Surrender,
Surrender of everything you need.
We fill our hearts with this infinite love.
This love that asks nothing.
We become light.
You may only find it for a second.
But that second is all we need to get to the next one.
Give yourself a moment of gratitude,
Appreciation and self-compassion for making this investment in yourself.
