What a cool meditation!! I really appreciate when any guided meditation incorporates some kind of body scan, as I feel like it connects me with my body and has a much more grounding effect than ones that donāt. The meditation started with the body scan and then progressed to some nature based visualization. I also appreciate meditations like this immensely as I feel so many meditations are too focused on going āup and outā... dissolving into some higher dimension or something. Not this. I love how Jordyn uses nature and the elements in this meditation as the setting for exploration. I was actually really relaxed at the pint in the journey when her voice guided me to begin seeing an animal appear. My left brain thought, Oh, okay... I guess Iāve got to come up with an animal now..ā and I felt for a brief moment as though I had to force it or work at it. No sooner did a vivid image of a mountain lion appear. At first itās face appeared someone blended in among the forest foliage. I watched it and it penetrating me with its stare for a few moments before I looked down into a bubbling steam that appeared down and to my left. In it I could see the mountain lionās face in and through the water, as though it had become part of the water. Itās face was flowing and rippling as I listened to the rushing water flow over the rocks in the stream. Then, a moment later, I was standing there in the forest but now in front of a campfire. It was mid afternoon still and smoke from the fire was traveling up into and through the forest canopy. Within the rising smoke, illuminated by rays of sunlight, was again an image of the mountain lionās face, translucent, within and made of, the rising smoke. It changed form I think once or twice more, and the word āmagicā reverberated in my entire body. Sounds cliche and foo fooey, but it was an incredibly rich experience. I could feel the magic of this animal shape shifting, appearing when and where and however it wanted, as it wanted, completely unrestrained. Next the meditation guides the listener to visualize a drop of rain floating out in front of him or her, during which time... time stands still. I loved the visual representation of that! In it, again I could see the mountain lions face looking at me. A minute later I reached and touched the rain drop in front of me at face level and immediately it trigger, almost like a magical switch, claps of thunder and a powerful down pouring of rain. Soooo cool!! I used to meditate for years and got away from a lot of it for quite some time as I feel like so many meditations take us out of our bodies and focus too much on escaping the earth plane. I was surprised and delighted at how powerfully this nice little meditation did the exact opposite: I felt as though it connected me *to* my body in a simple yet very powerful way. I woke feeling inspired, grounded, connected to myself, to Magic, and feeling ready to go kick some ass! (In a good way lol ;)
