Tiger explores the mind’s tendency to hold on—to control, to protect, to define itself—while life gently invites us to let go. With humor and clarity, he reveals the struggle of trying to be honest while still managing how we’re perceived, or seeking freedom while clinging to self-imposed limitations. What if true peace is found in humility, in realizing we don’t actually know? This is an invitation to step into a more authentic life, where we stop taking ourselves so seriously and simply allow what is real to unfold.

Do you see the complexity is in the mind?

Do you see the complexity is us trying to figure this out in the imagination of 10,

000 things that aren't actually happening?

And all the while we're trying to figure it out in a way that also allows us to protect the ego.

It's like saying,

How can I be honest but still control how people see me?

How can I be honest but avoid the potential of somebody else having judgment?

How can I have control but also let go of control?

How can I forgive but still resent this person?

It's super cute.

And of course,

What we eventually see is you can't have it both ways.

You can't step into the real and bring the unreal.

You can't embrace the truth of what you are while also holding on to lies about yourself,

Which is beautiful because life is saying,

Just let it all go.

And of course,

In that invitation,

It might become clear what we're not willing to let go.

That's fun.

Because then we get to look at that.

Why not?

And this is one of my favorite things about my job is that I get to talk to people and look at these things,

And they're all so adorable because it's always the same thing.

Our unwillingness to let go is a determination to hold on to some idea about ourselves,

Which is always some self-imposed limitation,

Which is why it's interesting,

The fight to hold on to it.

But of course,

We hold on because we fear the unknown of it all.

I can't just let go of these stories because they tell me who I am.

And without them,

I don't know who I am.

Well,

Welcome to the club.

Welcome to the club of what's true.

Everything anyone thinks they know about themselves is an idea,

Which is fine.

It can be helpful,

But it's not really what you are.

And to cling to it as if it's what you are only restricts your breathing because you're afraid of losing it.

There's such a beautiful doorway of humility here.

And of course,

That also points towards what we're afraid of.

I had this beautiful talk with someone the other day.

I don't know if I'm going to get into it,

But essentially,

They saw their unwillingness to be more honest,

More authentic,

Because they interpreted it as humiliating,

Which was really an invitation for them to be humble.

Because they're holding on to this idea of someone that knows everything,

That isn't wrong,

That is in control.

And so to acknowledge the truth,

Which is the opposite of those things,

It's quite humiliating.

To that image.

But it's what's true.

Which,

My goodness,

Do you not see the beautiful life we're being invited to step into?

One of humility,

Which is simply not taking yourself so seriously.

Where it's like you can take a big,

Deep breath and realize,

Oh,

I don't know what I'm doing.

Yeah,

Welcome.

Oh,

Sometimes it looks like I know what I'm doing,

But I always find out that I really don't.

And how many times have I thought I was right,

Only to find out I wasn't?

And if that's the case,

Is it wise to ever believe that I'm actually right?

Or can I just simply say it seems this way?

From my perspective,

Where I'm standing,

This is what it looks like.

Could be totally wrong.

But this is what it looks like.

What does it look like from where you're standing?

That's interesting.

Tell me more.
