My name is Tomek and I welcome you to this meditation.
As always I'm very happy to spend this time with you and to guide you through this meditation.
I hope you enjoy it.
We all are storytellers and we all create our personal stories.
This should work this way and that should work that way.
She should behave herself and he should not have done that.
Many,
Including our parents,
Help us creating those stories as well.
The problem starts when one of the stories that we so carefully created in our mind happened to be different from the reality.
We get disappointed,
Dissatisfied,
Even angry.
Many of us,
Including myself,
Cling to our stories so hard that even when we are hurting we don't want to let go.
The harder we cling,
Trying to justify them in our mind,
The more we suffer.
Sometimes we fight so hard for so long that we get completely exhausted.
With no energy left,
There's nothing else to do but surrender.
In this brief moment,
As we wait to be swallowed by the world,
We become completely vulnerable.
And this is a beginning of a new story.
Story in which you become yourself.
So,
Today I invite you to drop,
Only for a moment,
All the stories that you've been telling yourself and see if you can survive.
Are you ready?
This story begins right now.
This story begins exactly where you are.
Whether you're sitting or lying down,
Make yourself at ease.
Allow your body to take a comfortable position.
Relax your jaw.
Drop your shoulders away from your ears.
Gently soften any discomfort that is still in your body.
Put yourself in a position in which you can breathe freely.
I'm here to hold this space for you,
So you can feel safe and protected.
Together with thousands of meditators across the world,
You begin a new story.
A story that does not require any words.
Imagine lying on a soft grass,
Staring at the blue sky.
In this moment,
There are no worries.
No chores to be taken care of.
How does it feel in your body?
It may happen that your mind will try to create a narrative.
So when your mind jumps in,
Simply come back to that place of comfort where you are worry-free.
Lying on a soft grass,
Staring at the sky.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel fresh air coming in and coming out.
It may happen that there are some emotions that come to the surface and that's okay to surrender to everything that comes your way.
Step outside for a moment,
Outside of the usual story that you've been telling yourself.
And once again,
Your mind may come in and offer you a narrative to fill the space.
And once again,
You come back to your safe place.
And as you carry on in this state of being,
Notice how you feel.
If you are still holding in attention,
This is a perfect time to surrender to it too.
And now,
I'll let you just be.
As I hold the space for you,
Create a new state of being.
Worry-free.
When the time comes,
I will call you back.
When you stop,
I'll take you out to something fun.
