Day 3 Ujima Collective Work and Responsibility Take a deep breath and focus on collective work and responsibility.

Many hands do make light work.

Remember the last time many people came together and made a difficult job seem easy?

Who do you enjoy working with?

Do you know that person's goals or dreams?

Have you offered them your assistance?

Think about that project that you're working on right now.

I want you to imagine all of the people who could help you with that project if you just asked them.

With the intention to help you with that project.

With the intention of intention of good will with the intention of receiving their blessing.

Let's imagine you are now fulfilling those lifelong dreams that you have been putting off because it seemed too hard to do alone.

Maybe it's a book maybe it's a family reunion maybe it's putting on a show.

With collective work and responsibility we can better our world educational and other treasured institutions because collective work and responsibility is the solution.

Feel free to recite these words Feel free to repeat after me.

We are responsible and we are proving that we are willing to work hard.

We are willing to work hard.

We are advancing when we show teamwork sincere love and regard.

We are offering our assistance and rewarding a nurturer who planted the seed.

We are asking the hard questions and allowing everyone an opportunity to lead.

We are talking about honest concerns and expectations in daily conversation.

We are creating safe spaces that encourage accountability and innovation.

We are finding patience in our positions and we are following through on our plan.

We are raising more competent children full of promise who believe yes we can.

We are sharing more stories on how our family rose above and how others survive.

We are participating in unity projects because we know that together we thrive.

We are creating countless leaders who enjoy bringing solutions to any town.

We are building intentional communities of affirmation and peace can be found.

We are making time to acknowledge and honor what others and we do best.

We are so strong in numbers that everyone has an opportunity an opportunity to truly rest.

Ujima is collective work and responsibility and Kwanzaa this is the third day.

We will weigh this principle carefully and give grace and shame.
