So I have a happy inner child meditation for you,
Where you can sit down,
Close your eyes and listen to the singing bowl,
Where you take a deep breath in through the nose and then breathe it out through the mouth with a loud sigh to really drop into your body.
So you can join me by breathing in,
Hold it and release.
Let's do two more.
Deep breath in through the nose,
Hold it and release.
Can we make it even bigger by breathing in through the nose,
Hold it,
Hold it and release.
Where you can slowly dive into your body more and more and pause for a moment to check in.
Make sure that your shoulders are dropped and your jaw is relaxed.
Feel if there's a frown on your forehead.
And you can place one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach and just check in with your breathing.
In this peaceful moment,
Imagine yourself traveling back in time.
And you can tell yourself you are in control and in a safe place.
And you are going to travel back to a younger version of you,
Preferably around the age of 7 or 8 years,
When you were full of curiosity,
Wonder and joy.
So picture yourself as a child,
Around the age of 6,
7 or 8,
Full of energy,
Excitement and a spirit of play.
This is your inner happy child,
Pure and happy self.
And as you picture yourself in this time,
Notice where you are.
Perhaps you're in a familiar place,
Your old bedroom in the park.
Envision that place and let yourself be really there,
In a place where you felt safe and happy.
Now gently approach your inner child and watch how they smile and say hello,
I'm the adult version of you.
Can you help me?
Can you help me feel your joy and your laughter and your lightheartedness?
And they have been waiting for you.
They want to reconnect.
Maybe they want to tell you something else.
So take a moment and ask them,
What did you love to do?
What games did you play?
And what activities fill you with joy?
And this all depends on your inner child,
Whether or not they're showing you some drawings or they're running with you outside.
Maybe you see yourself building something with toys.
But watch your inner child share these memories with you.
Let them remind you of the simple things that used to bring you happiness,
Like hobbies or games that made you feel alive,
Carefree and fully yourself.
Now ask your inner child,
Would you like to bring any of these activities back into my life?
And listen closely.
And see if there is any game or activity or a small moment you can reintroduce in your adult life.
It doesn't have to be complicated or take a lot of time.
It could just be something like doodling for a few minutes,
Or maybe you're just having fun.
It doesn't have to be complicated or take a lot of time.
It could just be something like doodling for a few minutes,
Spending time in nature.
Let your inner child,
Your inner happy child,
Guide you.
Now thank your happy inner child.
Thank you for reminding me of these joys and helping me reconnect.
And feel a warm sense of love and gratitude and joy.
Perhaps it's okay to give them a hug.
And know that you can always come back to them,
To play and find more happiness.
So when you're ready,
Place your hands on your heart again and your other hand on your stomach and take a deep breath in and release this visual.
Bring yourself slowly to the present moment,
Where you wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Roll your shoulders and open your eyes,
And listen to the ending bell.
And know that you can carry this feeling of happiness,
Joy,
Curiosity with you,
And let your inner child's happiness inspire you throughout the day.
I thank you for being here and practicing this beautiful work with your happy inner child.
