So welcome everyone.

So today I want to talk about something that changes everything when we really get it on a deep level that life has my back.

Now in my own experience I've spent years thinking that only if I try hard enough I can control everything I can plan everything I can make everything happen but what I've discovered is that life is always in control and there is very limited control that I have in any given situation.

Life is much smarter than me the same intelligence that makes your heart beat without you thinking about it heals the cuts on your skin that turns the seeds into trees this same intelligence is guiding my life.

Now sometimes life takes us in directions that we didn't plan that bring up fear,

Uncertainty sometimes what we thought we wanted is not what we get and very often looking back we can see that life knew better than we did.

So in today's meditation in today's journey we'll explore what it feels like when we learn to trust this learning to let life guide you learning to stop fighting against what is and start flowing with it.

So as we begin let's find a comfortable position sitting up lying down or any other position that you find is what you need right now.

You can start to soften your gaze or if your body allows you're very welcome at this stage close your eyes and just start by bringing your attention to your breath finding your breath in this moment.

Just notice that you're breathing without trying to make it happen and you can feel your stomach rise as you breathe in and your stomach drops,

Your lungs fall as you breathe out.

Your heart is beating without any conscious effort on your part.

Your body knows how to be alive without your conscious effort or inputs.

As you focus on your breath just feel that this natural intelligence is already working in you.

You may also feel that there is a hard surface the floor,

The mat,

The chair that is supporting you your physical body that's holding you in this moment.

Now in this moment let's bring to mind something in your life right now that you're trying to control any active subject,

Topic,

Thought,

Person anything in my life right now that I'm trying to control in this world.

Maybe it's your career maybe it's a relationship or maybe it's how you feel someone else should behave or maybe it's when something should happen.

Whatever shows up for you is what you need to see in this moment.

Now just feel how much energy is it taking to keep trying to control this this issue,

This person,

This place,

This situation.

How much energy is it taking as I try to control this the tension the pushing the pushing managing,

Worrying,

Controlling.

Now just for this moment imagine letting go of controlling this completely just for this moment this is not giving up this is not being careless it's just releasing the tight grip of control and as I do this just feel what happens in your body when you stop trying to manage this.

Now we all have times in our lives when life says no to what we want the job doesn't work out the relationship ends plans fall through or things don't happen when or how we expected.

Now these moments are challenging they hurt they are confusing and they also make us feel at least in those moments that life is working against us and being punished for something.

Now what if we explore in this moment right now that these no's are actually redirections.

What if life is saying I have something better for you but you need to let go of this first.

I have something better for you but you need to let go of this first.

Now think of a time in your life when something you wanted didn't happen but later you could see it was actually for the best.

Remember how disappointing it felt at the time and looking back you can now see the wisdom in it that you could not see even see back then.

Now this is life taking care of you even when it doesn't feel like it.

So for the next few minutes let's practice simple trust.

Not trust in any particular outcome and not trust that everything will be easy.

Just basic trust that life knows what it's doing.

Like a child who can sleep peacefully because they know their parents are watching over them.

Just feel what it's like to rest in this trust to stop carrying the weight of figuring everything out to let life be in charge for a while.

Now silently repeat this to yourself.

Life has my back.

Life knows what it's doing.

I can trust what's happening.

Life has my back.

Life knows what it's doing.

And I can trust what's happening.

Now as I go about this journey my own journey I'll have my own set of experiences and I can always remember that life is redirecting me towards something better.

Life is clearing space for something new to come in and life is preparing me for something I can't see yet.

Now in this space of trust let's drop a few more beliefs into the body.

Everything that has happened in your life has brought you to exactly where you are right now.

Everything that is happening is working for your highest good even if you can't see how.

Everything that will happen is part of this perfect unfolding.

The flow of life is not random it is not careless and it is carrying you with love and wisdom towards what's best for you.

Now just see how these words are being received by your body by your awareness.

Now you can trust that the flow of life will always carry you take you to where you need to be in every moment and with this trust let's now begin to come back to the place to our bodies come back to the now feel the ground beneath you supporting you bring your attention again to your breath and feel how life is taking care of you right now in countless ways that we don't always realize.

Now with this trust whenever you're ready you can open your eyes.

Now the river of life is always flowing always carrying me towards my highest good sometimes it takes me through experiences which I don't choose sometimes it brings up changes that feel uncomfortable but if I can learn to trust I may discover something beautiful about life that life is not happening to you life is happening for you.

You don't have to figure it all out you don't have to control everything you just have to learn to trust life and it always knows where it's going so thank you very much for joining me today Namaste and Namaste
