For this meditation,
I recommend lying flat on your back.
Knees can be bent or legs can be straight or knees can be bent with feet on the outer edges of your mat so that the knees can pour inwards to touch,
Really just finding any place reclined on your back where you feel comfortable and can stay in stillness for a few minutes.
So settling into this reclined position on your back,
Letting the arms come out to the side so the palms are facing up,
Entering this mode of receiving and allowing your body to become calm and relaxed as you focus your awareness behind your eyes and just let your eyes close as you feel ready and comfortable and letting that awareness go down into your belly as you feel the breath rise the belly and release.
Breathing into the belly and breathing out.
Breathing into the belly and breathing out,
Relaxing the body,
Breathing in,
You're aware of your entire body,
Breathing out,
You're giving yourself permission to fully surrender.
Stay with this breath awareness,
Know when you're breathing in and know when you're breathing out.
Each exhale invites a little bit more relaxation,
Releasing of tension,
Releasing of control,
Releasing of the need to do anything or achieve any goal and allowing yourself to just be present with your breath and with the stillness of your being.
Breathing into the belly,
Breathing out smooth and slowly,
Letting your body become even more still,
Still aware of the breath but becoming more aware of this sense of stillness in your entire body.
Feeling the muscles release,
Feeling everything come to a place of stillness,
Using your mind to focus on keeping everything still except for the rising and falling of your belly.
The inhale makes you more aware of the stillness in your body and the exhale allows you to relax into it further.
Inhaling awareness,
Exhaling relaxation.
Your focus is drawing even more deeper inside of you and you're becoming even more still from the outside in.
All your mind is focused on being still,
Being present in this stillness,
Just riding the waves of your breath and surrendering your body like you're floating on top of the ocean.
The waves of your breath and you're just flowing into it,
Surrendering to the natural flow and letting it take you where it will.
Breathing in awareness,
Breathing out relaxation,
Surrendering to the natural flow,
Knowing that you will go where you are needed,
You will receive what you need when you need it.
Trusting as you breathe in awareness and breathe out relaxation,
Trusting yourself,
Trusting what the universe has planned for you,
Trusting the flow of events,
Trusting that you are supported,
That you are guided.
Breathing in awareness,
Breathing out relaxation.
Embrace the stillness and listen.
Listen deep within your being.
Breathing in awareness,
Breathing out relaxation,
Listening,
Receiving,
Listening without expectation,
Listening with every part of your being,
Not just with your ears,
With your heart,
With your cells,
With your gut,
Listening with your skin.
Listen with all of the senses that you have and trust what comes to you.
Breathing in awareness,
Breathing out relaxation.
Stay with this as long as you need until you feel you have received what you need.
When you feel that,
Start by feeling your awareness behind the eyes and giving the fingers and toes little wiggles and feeling your entire body.
Gently as you're ready,
Beginning to open the eyes and very slowly transitioning into the rest of your day,
Trusting what came to you and knowing you can return back to this whenever you need to.
Thank you and namaste.
