This is a guided meditation to let go of difficult relationships and move on.
Find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.
You may want to sit in a comfortable chair or lie down.
Allow yourself to let go of any expectations or judgments and simply be present with your thoughts and emotions.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and take a moment to settle into your space.
Make any final adjustments to your body so you can remain still and relaxed.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold the breath for a moment and then slowly exhale through your mouth.
Repeat this deep breathing a few times,
Focusing on the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body.
Continuing to breathe deeply,
Allow your body to relax.
Start at the top of your head,
Releasing any tension in your scalp and forehead.
Let this relaxation flow down to your jaw,
Neck,
And shoulders.
Release tension as you move your awareness down your arms and into your hands and fingers.
Feel your chest and back soften,
Your stomach and hips release,
And your legs grow heavy and relaxed.
Finally,
Let go of any tension in your feet and wiggle your toes.
Imagine a tranquil garden.
You find yourself there on a cool morning as the sun rises and warms you.
Birds chatter in the background as you watch butterflies hop from flower to flower,
Weighing in the blooms of their favorites.
The air is scented with lavender and roses,
And you take a deep breath,
Filling your lungs,
And exhale slowly.
There are a couple of walking paths here and you pick one to symbolize your journey,
Leaving difficult situations and relationships behind.
Wander this way for a while,
Getting used to the idea of distancing yourself from things that cause you pain or distress.
Gently bring to mind the difficult relationship or situation you wish to release.
Picture it in your mind's eye,
But observe it from a distance.
Maintain your sense of peace and calm.
Take a moment to acknowledge any emotions that arise as you think about this relationship or situation.
Allow yourself to feel whatever comes up,
Anger,
Sadness,
Frustration,
Or even relief.
It's okay to experience these emotions fully.
Remember to keep breathing slowly.
If you feel your breath catch or speed up,
That's okay.
Give yourself a minute to sit with the emotion and let it fade.
To start the releasing process,
Imagine holding onto a heavy stone or burden that represents the difficult situation or relationship.
Feel the weight of this burden and how it affects you.
Do you feel heavier,
Upset,
Angry,
Tired of all of it?
Did you sigh as you recalled it in this peaceful space or cringe?
Pause on this lovely path you are following and put it down.
See it as a choice to release what no longer serves you.
Feel the sense of lightness and freedom as you back away from it.
Visualize the burden dissolving into the ground or floating away on a gentle breeze or bury it.
If you still feel it as a stone,
Take out a hammer,
Smash it,
And then notice how it disappears from your view,
Leaving you with a sense of relief and openness.
As you continue walking along the path,
Feel a sense of new possibilities and opportunities opening up for you.
All the mental and emotional energy you spent on this relationship is now fresh and new and can be used for you.
You created an opening in your life.
Trust that the path ahead is full of potential and growth.
Repeat these affirmations silently or out loud.
I am strong.
I am capable of moving on.
I deserve peace and happiness.
Imagine the path ahead leading to a bright,
Hopeful future.
See yourself embracing new relationships and experiences with an open heart and clear mind.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Take a few deep breaths in and out,
Grounding yourself in the present moment.
Breathe in clean air,
Free of burdens.
Breathe out hesitation,
Stress,
Or fear of what may come next.
Breathe in healthy,
Clean air,
Smelling like roses and lavender,
As you slowly stroll your way to your new future.
Feel and drop your shoulders,
Rolling them back a bit into a relaxed and calm position.
You are now clear of this burden.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take your time to adjust to your surroundings and stretch your body if needed.
May you carry this sense of peace and clarity with you as you move forward on your journey.
If your situation or relationship comes up regularly because it's at work or with family,
Feel free to use this meditation as part of your morning ritual on those days.
Thank you so much for listening.
