Welcome back.
In this session,
We will explore about something we often try to avoid,
But secretly long to embrace,
Our beautiful,
Sacred mess.
We've often been told that creativity should be polished,
Flawless,
Worthy of display.
But the truth is,
All life begins in mess.
The soil,
The compost that feeds new growth.
And creativity thrives when we let go of the need to be perfect.
And in doing so,
We find freedom,
Joy,
And authenticity.
Imagine a painter with a fresh canvas.
The first strokes are wild,
Uncertain,
Uneven.
But without them,
Nothing can take form.
The mess is not a mistake,
It is the birthplace of art.
Or picture a garden in springtime.
Muddy soil,
Scattered seeds,
Leaves in disarray.
Yet within that chaos lies the promise of blossoms.
Now can you see how your creative mess,
Scribbles,
Half-finished projects,
Attempts that didn't go anywhere,
Are not failures,
But the fertile soil of your creativity?
So now just be in a comfortable position.
Loosen your shoulders,
Relax your neck and head,
Your back,
Your arms,
Hands,
Fingers,
Your chest,
Belly.
Hips,
Legs,
Feet,
And toes.
Just feel your body soften.
Slowly close your eyes and let's journey inward.
Place a hand gently over your lower belly,
Where your sacral chakra resides,
The center of flow,
Play,
And creation.
Take a deep breath in here.
And just sigh it out.
Now visualize a blank canvas before you.
In your hand,
There is a brush filled with bright,
Flowing color.
As you begin to paint,
Notice how the colors spill and splash.
There's no lines to stay inside,
No rules.
Just breathe into this joy of freedom,
The release of control.
Now with each exhale that you take,
This carries away the weight of perfection,
And each inhale fills you with playful possibility.
So repeat silently to yourself out loud.
I am free to make,
Free to play,
Free to create without judgment.
Let's repeat.
I am free to make,
Free to play,
Free to create without judgment.
Let those words land in your heart.
Wonderful.
Now let's awaken with the creative flow with breath.
Inhale through your nose for a count of four and feel your belly expand.
Hold gently for a count of two,
And exhale through your mouth for a count of six,
Releasing tension and control.
Let's do this together now.
Inhale through your nose for a count of four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold gently for a count of two,
Two,
Exhale through your mouth for a count of six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Releasing tension and control.
And just continue in your own time now for a few rounds.
As you breathe,
Imagine each inhale stirring the waters of creativity in your sacral chakra.
And as you exhale,
Release the grip of perfectionism.
Allow yourself to feel softer,
Freer,
More open.
Once more now,
Inhale through your nose for a count of four,
Feel your belly expand,
Hold for a count of two,
And exhale through your mouth for a count of six,
Releasing tension and control.
Good.
So let's just take a moment to reflect now.
Hold these prompts in your heart.
Where in my life am I still holding on to perfection?
What would it feel like to create without judgment?
What sacred mess is already blossoming in me?
What would I make today if I knew it didn't have to be good,
Only honest?
Just take a moment here.
So now,
Let's affirm either silently or out loud.
My creativity is alive even in its messiness.
I honor the beauty in my unfinished,
Imperfect offerings.
Every mark,
Every word,
Every note is part of my sacred journey.
Breathe deeply now,
Hand on your belly.
The truth of these words sink in.
Now,
Slowly return.
Return to your body,
The space that you are in.
Gently roll your shoulders if that feels good.
Stretch slowly and gently open your eyes.
And remember this,
The mess is not your obstacle,
It is your freedom.
Every imperfect step is evidence of your courage to show up,
To try,
To create.
So,
Carry your sacred mess with pride,
Knowing it is the soil from which your deepest beauty will grow.
Namaste,
My friend.
