Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie comfortably without interruptions.

When you are ready then,

Close the eyes or lower your gaze.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body soften and relax.

Join me in setting an intention for this meditation.

Let this pause help me to cultivate inner peace and resilience as I care for my loved one.

We begin at the root chakra located at the base of the spine.

This chakra relates to grounding,

Safety and stability.

Focus your attention now on your lower back and the very base of your spine,

Just where the spine emerges from the sitting bone.

Visualise here a red glowing light like a warm ember radiating from this area.

Mentally repeat,

I am grounded and stable.

I have the strength to face my responsibilities.

I am grounded and stable.

I have the strength to face my responsibilities.

Breathe deeply,

Imagining each breath connecting you to the earth below,

Anchoring you in stability and calm.

And now coming to sacral chakra,

Which is located just below the navel.

This chakra is linked to emotions,

Creativity and connection.

Shift your focus to the lower abdomen,

Just below the belly button and visualise here a warm orange glow filling this space.

Quietly affirm,

I am open to receiving support and I nourish myself as I care for others.

I am open to receiving support and I nourish myself as I care for others.

As you breathe release any pent up emotions,

Allowing yourself to feel safe and supported.

And now the solar plexus chakra,

Located in the upper abdomen.

This chakra governs confidence and personal power.

Focus now on your stomach area,

Visualise a yellow light like sunlight expanding from your core.

Repeat to yourself,

I am confident in my ability to provide loving care.

I am empowered and capable.

I am confident in my ability to provide loving care.

Imagine this warm sunny light dissolving now,

Any stress or self-doubt.

And so we move to the heart chakra,

Which is located at the centre of the chest in the heart space.

This chakra represents love,

Compassion and emotional healing.

Let your attention rest now on your chest area.

Visualise a soft green light expanding from your heart,

Filling you with warmth.

Repeat,

I give and receive love freely.

My heart is open and full of compassion.

As you breathe,

Allow any tension in your chest to melt away,

Replaced by a feeling of love and acceptance for both yourself and those you care for.

The throat chakra is located as you might imagine,

Right at the throat.

And this chakra relates to communication and self-expression.

Bring your whole awareness now,

Just to your throat.

Imagine a gentle blue light,

Like a calm river soothing this area.

Affirm,

I communicate with kindness and clarity.

My voice brings peace.

I communicate with kindness and clarity.

Take a deep breath,

Releasing on the out-breath any stress or tension in your neck and throat.

Repeat this now,

Two more times.

Coming now to the third eye chakra,

Located at the midpoint between the eyebrows.

This chakra is associated with intuition and inner wisdom.

Focus now on this third eye chakra,

The midpoint between your two eyebrows.

Visualise a deep indigo light,

Like a quiet night sky,

Radiating from this space.

Mentally say,

I trust my intuition.

I see clearly and respond calmly.

I trust my intuition.

I see clearly and respond calmly.

Allow yourself to trust your instincts as a caregiver.

Knowing you can approach challenges with insight,

Your intuition,

Your own gut knowing.

And finally the crown chakra,

Located at the top of the head,

Just in the space above the head.

This chakra connects to a sense of peace and universal connection.

Focus now on this space just above your head.

Visualise a violet or white light radiating upwards,

Connecting you with a sense of peace.

Repeat,

I am connected to peace and love.

I am at one with the universe.

I am connected to peace and love.

I am at one with the universe.

Imagine any remaining stress or worry dissolving as you feel supported by a higher sense of purpose.

Give yourself time now to take a few deep breaths.

Feeling the energy flow through each of your chakras,

Cleansed and calm.

Bring your awareness back to the present,

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Gently open your eyes or lift the gaze.

Feeling grounded,

At peace and ready to continue caring with resilience.

This meditation can help you release stress and reconnect with your inner strength,

So you can provide care from a place of peace and balance.

Repeat this meditation whenever you feel overwhelmed,

To restore calm and compassion within yourself.
