Hello beautiful souls.

My name is Aveline Grove and this is a meditation around the new moon in Libra that is taking place in our world on September 22nd at the same time as the autumn equinox.

So as we step softly into this circle of shadow and flame,

I want you to know that you have been called here at this threshold moment.

If you have found your way to this recording,

Take a moment to trust that there's something here for you and something that your soul wants you to know.

Thank you for joining me in this sacred space of reflection and renewal as we attune to the silken whispers of this new moon.

On September 22nd,

The darkened moon arrives.

She's cloaked in velvet mystery,

Carrying with her the gifts of balance,

Beauty,

And harmony.

In this moment,

We stand between two worlds.

What has ended and what is stirring and waiting to be born?

It is no coincidence that this moon rises with the autumn equinox in the northern hemisphere.

This is a moment of perfect equilibrium when light and shadow bow to one another in equal measure.

Libra drapes her scales across our lives,

Asking us to seek balance through collaboration,

Fairness,

And gentle awareness.

She is the keeper of beauty,

Diplomacy,

And sacred partnerships.

Born with others and with the temple of our own soul,

Libra's wisdom reminds us that balance does not come by pretending that the scales were never tipped.

However,

Balance is a conscious act of remembering,

Of choosing,

And of recentering ourselves in our own divine truth.

Before we step fully into the new moon waters,

I would like to take a moment to honor the path that we have just walked.

We emerged from a powerful Pisces lunar eclipse that occurred on September 7th.

This was a time of unveiling and disillusion,

When illusions dissolved and the deepest waters of the soul was stirred.

For many of us,

Including myself,

Raw emotions rose to the surface.

They may have been grief or sadness.

There was a piercing truth that could no longer be hidden.

In that moment for myself,

I felt a blindfold being torn away on an area of my life that I had previously shied away from.

As painful as that was,

There was a clarity that followed,

Almost like a dawn breaking.

Once that truth had been revealed,

It could not be unseen.

I challenge you or I invite you to think of your own life and if there is an area where you feel like the sun is shining a little brighter and it's hard to see and it's painful,

Likely this is something that you need to dive into and do some work around.

We are left standing at a crossroads of a stark new reality and in that space,

When we have a moment like this that can literally shake us to the core,

There are three paths that open before us.

One is the path of the void.

We can remain in the space of the unknown.

We get to rest in the womb of darkness.

This is like the sacred stillness that the new moon allows.

If you feel called here,

I invite you to linger,

Shield yourself from the noise of the outside world and simply let yourself be.

For in this void,

It is not emptiness.

It is the fertile soil that necessary pause in the liminal space before your becoming.

The second path is that of grief and release and as the new moon has lost her light,

Perhaps you too have lost something.

It could be a belief,

A vision,

A version of yourself,

A relationship,

Or even something tangible.

This new moon invites you into ritual mourning.

It allows you to hold sacred space for what is passing and to release the weight that you no longer have to carry.

Through that release,

Harmony and renewal can flow in.

The third path is the path of seeds and in true new moon fashion,

You may feel called to plant seeds,

To choose what will take root in this freshly tilled soil.

The clarity revealed by the eclipse is here to guide you.

You know what is required and what needs tending.

You know what part of your life needs to be reshaped and what your heart longs to invite into your world.

Perhaps you are drawn to one path or in truth you may choose to walk all three.

In this moment it is important to trust your instincts and your guides.

If you're unsure of which path to choose or where you are,

I invite you to journal.

I have three questions for you that you can ask your divine self,

Your oracle within,

To help you choose.

The first question,

What truth did the eclipse reveal to me?

Question number two,

Where do I most need balance now?

Question three,

What intentions can I plant that honor both healing and growth?

This offering unfolds in two parts.

If you feel ready,

You may simply pause the recording here and step into the guided journey that I offer in part two,

Which is a separate recording.

If you wish to linger with me a little bit longer,

I'm going to dive deeper into the energies of this lunation and I'm also going to speak about the goddess who walks beside of us and give you a little history around the goddess Maat from Egyptian pantheon,

As she is the one that we will be journeying to.

All right,

If you stayed with me,

Let's get into the astrological portal that exists with this new moon in Libra.

The sun and the moon rest both equally in the sign of Libra.

This is a double activation.

It is a sacred mirror.

Mars begins in Libra,

Seeking justice through diplomacy,

Though often caught in indecision.

So if you've been feeling like,

Okay,

I know what's stirring within me and I know I need to do something,

But I just don't feel ready yet,

It's probably because of this Mars in Libra feeling.

However,

As the new moon arrives,

Mars is going to slip ever so gently into the sign of Scorpio.

And with this slip,

It will ignite intensity and power and deep personal emotional courage.

This will light a under this lunar cycle that will fortify you to face the truths that were revealed in the eclipse and will give you a gentle surrender,

Plus this fierce resolve with the blindfold off to move forward into action.

Mercury then lends his winged voice,

Bringing in clarity,

Insight,

And the courage to speak what must be spoken.

Remember,

Balance exists both in words uttered and words withheld.

Both are spells and both carry weight.

This new moon also dances in trine with Uranus and Gemini and Pluto and Aquarius.

Uranus whispers flashes of insight,

Liberating you from old patterns that are long worn out and long overdue to be retired.

He opens the gates of innovation in the ways that you think,

Love,

And express truth.

Pluto excavates what lies beneath,

Urging that deep transformation in the realm of relationships,

Power,

And soul contracts.

He strips away the false layers so your sovereignty may arise untethered.

Together,

These aspects create a harmonic portal of renewal,

Especially in the areas of love,

Identity,

And spiritual practice.

Venus is Libra's ruler,

And Venus is in Virgo.

With Venus in Virgo,

It is asking for devotion,

Refinement,

And sacred discernment in the matters of love,

Beauty,

And desire.

Now,

I did speak of soul contracts with Pluto,

And those show up when we start talking about the North and the South Nodes.

They're alive here,

And they are very much at play.

The North Node is in Pisces,

And that beckons you into softness,

Trust,

And mystical surrender.

And the South Node is in Virgo,

Which asks you to release the compulsion to fix what is perfect.

Now,

If you're not familiar with nodes,

I'm going to tell you a little bit about them.

So,

North and South Nodes are very profound points in astrology,

And they offer insights into our soul's journey,

Karmic patterns,

And evolutionary purpose.

They're not planets,

But they are mathematical points.

Together,

They form what's called a nodal axis,

And they're always directly opposite each other in the zodiac.

The North Node,

Again,

It's in Pisces,

Is your karmic calling.

They are the qualities and experiences that your soul came here to develop.

The South Node in Virgo,

It invites you to look at past experiences,

Inherited gifts,

And patterns that are showing up in your life.

In this aspect,

It's asking you to release the need to fix everything,

Especially in your relationships.

It challenges the Libra idea to overthink and over-perfect,

And invites in more balance.

Now,

This is very much aligned with Inanna's descent into the Underworld.

Inanna is this goddess of deep surrender.

If you're not familiar with her story,

I'm not going to get into it a lot here.

I do have other recordings that speak of Inanna and her sister,

Ariskagal.

But,

Essentially,

Inanna was the Queen of Heaven,

And Ariskagal,

Her sister,

The Queen of the Underworld.

Inanna descends down into the Underworld,

Passes through seven gates,

Giving up seven parts of herself along the way,

Stripped naked and bowed low before her sister,

Ariskagal,

And then hung on a hook,

And saved three days later,

And then journeys back to the Upperworld.

She very much represents the Autumn Equinox that we are in,

As she spends six months of the year in the Underworld,

And that is where she is getting ready to go with this Autumn Equinox.

And then,

In the spring,

Her and her husband switch places.

Her husband,

Damuzi,

Then he goes down into the Underworld,

And Inanna rises back into the Upperworld with her wisdom and insights and all the knowledge that she has gained.

So,

As we move into this new moon and into the Autumn Eclipse,

It is very much inviting in this energy of descent and surrendering control and embracing the transformations that we go through and honoring the seasons of our lives.

You know,

When I was recording this,

I thought that I was going to do a journey to Inanna,

Because that's typically what I would do this time of year,

But Maat just continued to come through with the scales of justice and the balancing and the light and the dark,

And that's where I really feel called to go.

If you personally feel called to work with Inanna,

I will offer up a separate meditation around her and that journey,

So that you can have that experience,

If that's what's speaking to you.

Vesta is another goddess,

And she is in Leo.

She is the Keeper of the Flame,

And she asks you to really sanctify and nourish your inner temple.

You also have Athena in Scorpio,

And she's more your strategist and truth-seer,

Helping you cut through that illusion.

Juno in Virgo is a guardian of sacred partnerships,

Insisting on integrity.

Ceres in Capricorn is the Mother of Cycles,

Again grounding us in this moment of stable care and surrender.

And then Black Moon Lilith in Virgo is this very fierce,

Unapologetic,

Beautiful dark goddess who demands truth in love and in shadow.

So you're really housed here in this energy of these goddesses that are just supporting you on your path and demanding this level of truth.

And now Maat.

So Maat is not merely a goddess.

She is the pulse of divine order itself.

In the beginning,

There was none.

The endless,

Dark waters of chaos.

And I want to remind you that this is coming from the Egyptian pantheon.

So from this primordial void rose Ra.

Now Ra is the sun god,

And he was the first light.

And with Ra came Maat,

His daughter.

His foundation,

She was his breath of balance.

Ra could not create without Maat by his side.

He stood upon Maat,

The primal wound,

Primal mound,

In which all of the cosmos then began to unfold.

She was there from the very first heartbeat of existence,

Weaving law,

Rhythm,

And truth into the fabric of creation.

Even the gods would bow to her.

For without Maat,

Their thrones would collapse in full disorder.

Symbols of Maat is an ostrich feather.

The feather represents light and pure,

And the ostrich feather is what she's often seen wearing on her head.

But it is also what she uses on her scales to measure every soul against.

The scales,

Obviously,

Are a symbol of Maat for balancing truth and falsehood.

Her wings,

Often Maat is depicted with these beautiful outstretched wings,

And they are outstretched in reverence and in symbol of eternal protection.

So what I think of for this is when we're going through these cycles of birth and death and rebirth and transformation and like really reshaping an area of our life that is painful and hard,

We need that.

We need that external like cosmic law balancing gravity force coming in and like really saying,

I've got you.

And that's what Maat represents to me because it's not just the balancing of scales,

It's the balancing of cosmic scales.

And with the universe being in this state of light and dark at the time of the equinox,

It really is like Maat,

Her energy is here and ever present and creating a threshold for true divine balance.

And then this mound of creation is the rising of order from chaos.

In the Hall of Two Truths is where you find Maat who weighs the heart of the departed against her feather.

If the heart is light and free of deception,

The soul ascends to eternity.

If it is heavy,

It is cast into amidst jaws.

This is not merely a ritual of the dead.

It is a living law within the Egyptian pantheon.

To walk with Maat is to live in alignment,

In truth,

And in balance with the cosmic order.

So I spoke on this briefly,

But I'm going to just sum it up here for you.

So Maat and the Libra New Moon,

They mirror each other.

Libra seeks balance.

Maat is balanced.

The New Moon offers renewal.

Maat,

It's M-A apostrophe A-T,

If you're wondering.

Maat is the architecture of cosmic renewal.

As Mars enters Scorpio,

Demanding this depth and courage,

Maat requires no less.

She matches that energy head on.

To call upon Maat in this moon is to consecrate your life to the great law of harmony within the universe.

There is more here than just invoking a goddess.

It is aligning your breath,

Your choices,

And your soul with this same sacred pattern upon which the universe itself was woven.

So with that,

We are going to close this New Moon talk,

And I invite you,

If you stayed for all of this,

To head over to part two and listen to the journey with Maat and see what truths are revealed and how she weighs your heart against her feather.

And I thank you so,

So much for joining.

If you don't want to check that out,

And like I said,

If the story of Inanna spoke more deeply to you,

Check out that one as well.

It'll be posted directly after the Maat,

So you'll have both of those back-to-back to be able to journey to and to hold yourself in.

And remember that the cycles of these moons are the Full Moon and then the New Moon are two-week rotations.

So here,

You have about two weeks to really work on this.

So this may be something where you want to revisit the meditation a couple times,

Or you want to revisit some of the things that you journaled on,

Or you get to try on different aspects if it is a situation where you felt called to all three paths.

You have two weeks here,

Before we enter the next Full Moon,

To work on that and walk those and experiment.

So invite in a little joy.

It all doesn't have to be so heavy.

And I thank you so,

So much for joining.

Blessed Be,

Blessed Be,

Blessed Be.

Aho Awen Os.

Namaste.

Goodbye.

Thank you.
