Hello,

Beautiful being.

Welcome to a breathwork meditation for when you go on a flight.

Before takeoff,

Let's ground ourselves.

Before we move,

We root.

First,

Feel the solid press of your feet on the floor,

The supportive cradle of the seat behind your back,

The gentle weight of your hands on your legs.

Inhale deeply through your nose for four seconds.

Feel the ground connection.

Exhale slowly through your mouth for six seconds.

Release any pre-flight tension.

Inhale deeply through your nose for four seconds.

Feel the ground connection.

Exhale slowly through your mouth for six seconds.

Inhale deeply through your nose for four seconds.

Feel the ground connection.

Exhale slowly through your mouth for six seconds.

As the plane begins to move,

Match your breath with its journey.

A gentle inhale as the power builds,

Welcoming the adventure.

A slow,

Steady exhale as you lift off,

Releasing the earth with trust.

No need to force.

Let the plane's motion be your guide.

In your mind,

Gently say,

I rise with ease.

I am carried.

If there is turbulence during the climb,

Imagine your breath as a soft cloud cushioning the aircraft.

Inhale into any tightness into your body.

Exhale,

Softening that space.

We have reached the stable sky.

Here,

Between the heaven and earth,

We find rhythm.

Inhale gently through your nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold the breath with ease for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale smoothly through your nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold in the emptiness for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Repeat this square,

Steady rhythm.

This is your anchor in the sky.

Imagine your breath drawing a safe,

Steady square around you and the aircraft.

If any nervousness arises,

Bring your focus here.

Feel the immense wings of the plane.

Imagine a soft white or golden light streaming along them,

Strong,

Flexible,

Engineered to ride the air.

With each inhale,

Draw that stable wing-like strength into your own heart and spine.

With each exhale,

Release any fluttering fear down through your feet and into the vast supportive air below.

I am supported by engineering,

By physics,

By the skills of many.

I am safe.

Pause this breathwork meditation until you are about to descend.

As the descent begins,

Shift your breath to welcome the return.

Inhale for four counts,

Gathering peace from the journey.

Exhale for six counts,

Gently releasing altitude,

Returning to Earth.

Match the gradual lowering of your extended exhales.

You are guiding yourself down,

Breath by breath.

Upon touchdown,

Take one final conscious breath,

A deep inhale.

Exhale,

I am here,

Safely arrived.

A complete exhale,

I release the journey,

I am present.

Feel the wheels firmly on the ground.

Notice the solidity.

Gently wiggle your toes and fingers.

When ready,

Open your eyes to the new landscape outside your window.

Thank you for joining me in this breathwork meditation for flying in the sky.

Come back to this breathwork meditation anytime you need,

Or every time you decide to fly.

As always,

My name is Corey Dupree with Interconnected Being,

Looking forward to breathing together again soon.

I’m such an anxious wreck when I fly, this is going to help tremendously - I wanted to try this meditation to see if it would resonate with me before I fly and WOW! Excellent job. I feel my nerves will be so much better if I use this meditation for my next flight in a couple weeks. Thank you so muc!!
