Welcome,
I'm Jocelyn.
Sometimes in our lives,
And it comes throughout different parts of our lives,
We hit these places where we can't feel the support that's behind us.
And in front of us and our family,
Our friends,
Our work,
Our community,
We don't necessarily see the support or feel into the support.
And in those times,
We can get very lonely.
We can feel that you are all alone in this world,
Even if you have family and friends and children and grandparents,
Right?
It's that feeling of no one understands or you are alone in this life.
And we all go through it.
It happens at different times,
Different stages in our lives.
And in those times,
And really in any other time,
It's important to be able to feel into your spiritual support and energetic support,
The support from the spirit realm.
It's important to be able to feel into your ancestral support,
The support of your angels,
Your soul family.
I mean,
It's a beautiful thing to feel into that support at all times.
And by understanding how to feel into that spirit realm support,
It makes it easier to tap into it in those moments in life when you feel really lonely.
I once listened to a video,
It was a talk by Dr.
Zach Bush and Richard Rudd,
And he was talking about how important loneliness is,
But it's this feeling that so many of us,
So many of us humans avoid at all costs.
We avoid feeling it,
And that's why we have so much addiction-enabling,
Escaping.
We have so much of that behavior because we are truly afraid of being alone.
But when he talks about being alone,
He also talks about all the other support you find in that moment.
So,
This talk is for you to feel into your own spirit realm support.
I'm going to recount for you a soul art journey I went on,
And the insights that I garnered from that journey.
For me,
I was looking into connecting with my soul family.
And you might have different,
Varying definitions of what a soul family is.
For me,
It's twofold.
My support in the spirit realm,
But also the people here in this life that connect with me.
But I was particularly looking at,
In this soul art journey,
That connection to my soul family in the spirit realm.
And I really let go into this soul art.
I had chosen paints,
I had a huge roll of paper,
And I energy sketched.
My feelings about being supported,
Which has been hard for me most of my life,
Asking for help.
All of my feelings about experiencing support,
Asking for support,
Being without support.
I energy sketched all of these ideas onto the paper.
And then I let go.
I opened that creativity door and I let go.
Literally,
Figuratively,
Everything,
I just played.
I went through a lot of paint,
Actually.
But all of my colors were in that realm of blue,
Maybe a little purple,
A little bit of yellow to create a little bit of green,
But all in that area of color.
And I started by just placing down lots of color.
And then I used my hands,
I let them go free into the paint.
And then I began to take the back of paintbrushes and create shapes and movement,
Almost as if it was a drizzle on a still lake.
I don't know if you can picture that,
But if you've ever sat next to a still body of water and it begins to gently drizzle,
The top of the lake or the top of whatever you're looking at,
That body of water,
Becomes chaotic,
But chaotic in a beautiful way.
It becomes chaotic because so many different drips are coming down,
Right?
All these drops are coming down and falling in all these different places and the timing is all different.
So it's chaotic in that way.
But it's this beautiful,
I want to say blossoming of movement in the water.
It's all going from the center point out and about in all directions.
And so it creates this beautiful,
I would say symphony of movement that even though it feels chaotic in timing,
It all connects.
And you can almost get mesmerized by this,
By looking at that.
If you ever have a chance to go sit in front of still water and watch a gentle drizzle or a gentle rain come down,
It's really beautiful.
So while I was in the middle of doing my soul art,
Right in that play,
I realized about an hour and a half in,
Because I really got into it,
What I was creating.
I was creating that symphony.
I was creating that chaotic and yet not chaotic at all picture of a still water in a mild rain or a gentle drizzle.
And then I had this urge to take my hands and my paintbrushes and just create one huge ripple,
Right?
So I actually ended up taking all of that color and all of those shapes and all of those beautiful ripples that I had created.
And with my hand and with brushes,
Actually it was mainly my fingers,
I began to create this huge one singular ripple that went out and about.
And this was on about a 10 foot piece of paper.
So you can imagine,
Took me quite some time.
And then when I finished with this ripple,
I completely walked away from it.
I was like,
I'm done.
Which is odd because normally I would want to create more and more and more on this because now it's just a flat,
Almost,
You know,
One small ripple,
But on this huge paper.
And I let it go.
I came back to it two days later and I realized it was finished.
And I sat with that art and you could see even where my hands and my fingers went into create that one large ripple.
You could see the movement of all the tiny ripples within that larger ripple,
But you just had to look really,
Really,
Really,
Really,
Really,
Really close.
And I went back to what I was working on,
Which is kind of getting to know my soul family,
How to recognize,
How to feel the support of my soul family.
And I sat with my art and I wrote into it and I thought,
Oh my gosh,
It's just so simple.
It is like they are beneath me.
They are always beneath my surface.
They're always at my back.
And there's so many choices.
There's so many melodies within the symphony.
There's so much music there,
But it's beneath the surface.
When I wrote,
I wrote into it being at my back.
And in order for me to see or feel that soul family,
I need to bring them to the front.
And how do I bring them to the front?
I get quiet.
I ask for help.
I begin to trust and build trust that they're there.
And when I get the insights from them,
I move on them.
Another insight that I had was about loneliness,
Which is why I brought it up in the beginning of this track.
I was reminded about that talk I had listened to with Dr.
Zach Bush.
I was reminded in my insights for this soul art that loneliness is so important.
And that I distract myself and direct my energy into a bunch of different things at one time.
And when I find myself juggling many balls,
I need to rest.
And in that rest,
I connect to my soul family.
It's almost like they create that want to distract myself,
That want to have 15 balls in the air so that I can remember who I am and remember that support.
There's an importance here of clearing space and realizing and remembering who you are.
And there's a piece of that loneliness that helps you do that.
So as we distract from our loneliness,
As we begin to direct our energy into distraction from our loneliness,
We're actually distracting ourselves from realizing and remembering who we are.
Personally,
For me,
There is a remembrance in birds,
In lightness under wings,
An ease of connection.
And I was working with the insights of my soul family.
My soul family creates almost like wormholes out of the distraction.
And those can be belly laughs,
Pretty things,
Peppermint candies,
Anything that brings me back to a moment to rest in the present moment.
And everybody's soul family has different ways of bringing them back.
Different keys,
If you might.
There might be a word that resonates or a thought that resonates within you as a key or a wormhole back to the moment.
For me,
It's so much,
Too much.
When those words come into my head,
I was told that's a reminder of my soul family knocking on the door,
Creating a wormhole back to the present moment.
I was given insights in how to breathe,
To bring myself back to the moment when I begin to feel the diversion or the diversions that I create.
So when I was saying earlier,
My soul family,
As I was creating,
This soul art is always at my back or underneath the surface.
And one of the things I was told in my insights is that I just have to bring them to the front of my heart whenever I need them,
Whenever I am calling on them,
Whenever I need to ask for help or need to find myself in the moment,
Away from the diversion and the distraction.
To simply bring the awareness of them to the front of my heart.
And that gives me a very beautiful way to immediately work with them,
Bringing my awareness to the front of the muscle of my heart or the front of my heart center.
I was also told that if you want to work,
Or for me,
If I want to work with my family,
My soul family,
To set aside time every day to connect,
Even if it's two to three minutes.
And maybe those two to three minutes are just bringing them to the front of my heart.
I also had this beautiful vision of almost like my body,
The top of my body or the front of my body being the surface of that water with that one big ripple.
And just beginning to imagine all the ripples and shapes and movements and symphony from beneath just bubbling up to the top,
Beginning to feel the movement,
The hope,
Inspiration,
The rest,
The happiness,
The love,
All coming up through breaking that surface of my ripple.
So these are the insights from my soul art journey about connecting to my soul family,
But I believe that they are a beautiful reminder to everyone about the ideas of loneliness,
Support,
And connecting with your own soul family,
Knowing that they are right beneath the surface with you,
Right at your back.
And sometimes it's just about bringing your awareness and bringing them to the front of your heart.
Sometimes it's just about resting when we begin to divert our attention in a lot of areas,
When we begin to play with so many different balls in the air.
It's calling us back to rest,
To remember,
To remember who we are,
To be with our loneliness and in that loneliness to find our soul family,
Our support from other realms,
From a spirit realm,
Our ancestors.
So I hope that you can take what works for you from these insights in my soul journey.
And just for a minute,
I wanted to just end this talk with everyone closing down your eyes for a minute,
Just taking a breath and bringing your awareness inward,
Allowing your awareness to feel into what is beneath your surface.
Can you feel the gentle rain,
The movements,
The symphony,
The music and the shapes that are right beneath the surface?
Can you feel the support of those who have passed,
Of your angels,
Of your spirit team?
Can you feel it like a current that holds you up beneath the surface?
And if you can feel that,
Breathe into it,
Inhaling,
Giving it life.
And as you exhale,
Bringing those feelings right to the front of your heart,
Opening and inviting your soul family in,
Expanding and breathing life into this symphony.
And as you exhale,
Bringing them right to the front of your heart,
In your awareness.
One more time,
Inhaling,
Breathing life into all of your soul family.
As you exhale in that contraction,
Bringing them right to the front of the heart,
Acknowledging and taking a moment to ask your soul family for whatever help you need right now.
One of the other insights that was so clear to me on this journey was that our soul family wants to help,
They are there to help.
You just have to acknowledge and ask.
We are never alone.
We always have their support.
They want to help us,
To help guide us,
To help us remember who we are,
Who they are.
So just taking a moment and asking for any help that you need.
And when you're done,
Simply whispering a thank you,
Taking a nice deep breath into your belly,
Opening your mouth and sighing it out,
And opening your eyes.
It can be that easy to connect to your soul family.
Your spirit realm and the support from your spirit realm.
So I hope I gave you some visuals,
Some different ways to connect in.
I like to do it through storytelling.
I like to tell you through my journeys,
Because then you have a sense of visually what I am working with.
And it gives you an extra,
I don't know,
Pathway in.
