Welcome to this meditation on compassion for the body.

Take a moment to settle in,

Allowing yourself the gift of presence and care.

This meditation is an opportunity to honor your body,

Appreciate its strength and offer it kindness.

No matter where you are on your journey,

Know that you are worthy of love and understanding.

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without distractions.

And now close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs completely.

As you exhale,

Let go of any tension you might be holding.

Allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm.

Inhale exhale.

Inhale exhale.

Now,

Bring your awareness to your body.

Begin by expressing gratitude for the incredible work it does every day.

Your body carries you through life,

Allowing you to experience the world,

To love,

To move,

To rest.

Even if it's not perfect,

Even if it has pain or discomfort,

It is still your home.

Please take a moment to thank your body for all it does for you.

Gently scan your body from head to toe,

Acknowledging each part with kindness and compassion.

If you notice areas of tension,

Send your breath there,

Imagining warmth and relaxation flowing into that space.

Do you feel your body?

Are you there with and in your body?

If there is pain,

Acknowledge it without judgment,

Simply offering it your gentle attention and care.

Can you feel arms,

Legs,

Chest,

Back of the body and your head?

Can you feel the weight of your body?

With each exhale,

Try to relax your body even more.

Inhale and exhale.

I invite you now to repeat these affirmations silently or out loud.

My body is worthy of love and compassion.

I accept my body as it is in this moment.

I send kindness to every cell in my body.

I honor my body's wisdom and needs.

Take a few moments to simply be with your body,

Embracing it with gratitude and understanding.

Repeat these affirmations if you feel like and try to feel them in your body.

Feel the connection between your breath and your body,

Between your mind and your heart.

Let this moment of care deepen your sense of self-acceptance.

When you're ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to the present.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Stretch lightly if needed.

And now open your eyes and take one more deep breath,

Carrying the sense of compassion with you into your day.

And remember,

Your body is your companion on this journey of life,

Treated with the kindness it deserves.
