Welcome,
Dear one.
My name is Lauren Bernard,
And what a blessing it is that you are here,
Joining me for this full supermoon,
The closest and brightest of the year,
As the moon is at its nearest point to the earth,
Making the energy even more potent.
The moon draws near to the earth,
Magnifying her magnetic pull and stirring the tides of our inner world.
This is a time of illumination,
Patience and preparation.
A moment to anchor into gratitude and trust the quiet unfolding of your path.
So take the next few moments here to gather anything you might need for your meditation.
Pillows,
Blankets,
An eye covering,
Anything that you might need for your practice,
For your shape.
And you might begin to find your most comfortable position,
Whether lying down,
Gently reclined,
Or sitting upright,
Allowing your body to completely surrender and settle into stillness.
And when you're ready,
You might begin to softly close your eyes,
If that feels welcomed for you,
And begin to let yourself be bathed in lunar light,
Beginning to turn your awareness toward your breath,
Without changing anything.
And now,
Could you begin to imagine the breath flowing in through your left nostril,
As though you're drawing in a soft,
Cool stream of moonlight,
Silvery,
Soothing and peaceful.
Let it travel down through your body,
Filling your chest,
Your belly,
Your whole being with calm.
And then imagine the breath flowing out through your right nostril,
Releasing warmth,
Tension,
And all that no longer serves,
Welcoming in this Chandra Vedana Pranayam.
Continuing like this for a few rounds,
Inhaling lunar light through the left side,
Exhaling releasing through the right side,
Flowing back through the left for your inhalation,
And letting go through the right.
Continuing with this pattern,
Each breath balancing your energy,
Cooling your mind,
And connecting you to the moon's tranquil rhythm.
You might even begin to feel that your whole body lets go even deeper,
And that your bones have become so heavy,
You cannot hold them up any longer.
No more clenching,
Gripping,
All the tension,
Stress,
Heaviness,
Being released with every exhale.
Your arms,
Heavy,
Relaxed wherever they're comfortable.
With every inhale,
Receive peace.
With every exhale,
Soften deeper into stillness.
And let's take one more full round,
Inhaling through the left,
Out through the right,
And now through both nostrils,
Letting go with a nice audible sigh,
And now returning to your own unique rhythm,
But perhaps more relaxed,
More at ease.
Now send your awareness to your heart.
Under the light of this supermoon,
Could you let your intention rise gently from within?
Maybe you're already working with your own sankalpa,
Your heart's desire,
Or perhaps a single word arises,
Or a feeling,
Maybe patience,
Trusting in the unseen timing of life,
Or maybe preparation,
Aligning yourself for what is to come,
Or perhaps it is simple,
Gratitude for all that has led you here,
Or you might choose an affirmation like,
I open to the rhythm of the moon,
Patient,
Prepared,
And grateful.
I trust the magic unfolding in perfect time.
Whatever arises,
Let it simmer here,
Breathe it in deeply,
And exhale to let it expand,
Letting your intention expand like light through the universe.
When the universe is listening,
Imagine your intention expanding like light.
And now from this space of deep stillness,
Could you begin to imagine yourself gently lifting from the earth,
Weightless,
Effortless,
And free.
You drift higher and higher,
Past the clouds,
Through the soft darkness of the sky,
Until the earth becomes a glowing sphere beneath you,
And before you,
Rising magnificently is the supermoon.
Just imagine,
Weightless,
Floating,
Free,
And care.
It hangs close,
Vast,
Luminous,
Radiant with silvery light,
Light flowing through your skin,
Your muscles,
Your heart,
And your mind.
Each cell begins to shimmer with light,
Peaceful,
Patient,
And alive.
And here,
In this vast stillness,
Could you feel yourself in rhythm with the cosmos,
The same gravitational pull that moves the tides,
Moves through you now.
As Pablo Neruda says,
The moon lives in the lining of your skin.
Let her light remind you of your own,
Always present,
Always whole,
Even when unseen.
The moon whispers of timing,
That every cycle has its purpose,
That patience is not waiting but trusting the rhythm of your becoming.
That gratitude opens the portal to grace.
Let this light gather at your heart,
A glowing sphere of moonlight pulsing gently within you.
You are luminous.
You are grounded in infinite space.
You are aligned with your divine rhythm.
Allow the words of Rumi to echo in your heart now.
The moon stays bright when it doesn't avoid the night.
Embrace your shadows.
They are the soil where your light takes root.
You are exactly where you were meant to be.
In this fullness,
In this glow,
In this becoming.
Float here,
Bathing in this moonlight,
For a few breaths,
Let yourself receive it fully.
Let go of everything.
Ease,
Clarity and trust.
As you float freely,
Imagine breathing in illumination,
In the moon's wisdom of clarity,
Peace and purpose.
And with each exhale,
Could you release any resistance,
Any doubt,
Any hurry and any fear.
Let it all go.
Let the moon cleanse you,
Clear you and heal you.
Come home to your true essence.
You are made of light.
Feel yourself,
One more time,
Deeply connected.
As one with the moon,
The cosmos and the universe.
In tune and aligned.
Receiving everything you need.
Basking in this supercharged lunar energy.
Connecting deeply with your higher self.
And now,
Could you begin to feel yourself slowly drifting,
Like a leaf floating gently from the trees down to the ground,
Or like a soft floating feather.
You descend gently,
Like this feather or this leaf on the breeze,
Carrying the moonlight within your heart and through your whole being.
As your awareness returns to your body,
Could you feel the space beneath you,
The rhythm of your breath,
The calm and clarity within you.
The moon's magic now lives inside you,
Like it's been all along.
You've ignited the energy of peace,
Of radiance,
And of patience.
Because you trust in the unfolding of your path.
And let's take one final Chandra Vedna Pranayam together.
Inhaling through your left nostril,
Up into your mind's eye,
Drawing in soft moonlight,
Pausing here,
And exhale through the right.
And releasing completely,
Grounded and serene.
Returning to your natural rhythm of breath,
And once again just noticing.
Noticing where your breath lands in the body,
And how it feels as it flows out.
You might notice the edges of your body where it meets the surface beneath you.
Maybe begin to outline from the tip of your right toe,
All the way to your pinky toe,
And up your right side,
Tracing the outline of your body all the way around.
You might make some very gentle micro-movements now,
If you're ready to emerge.
Or you might linger here a little longer,
If time allows.
Or if you're ready to reawaken,
Just some gentle movements in your own intuitive way,
Knowing what you need in this moment,
Knowing what will feel nourishing,
Slow and easeful.
Or you might slowly begin to open your eyes,
Or just let the light filter through the closed eyelids for a few moments.
And remember,
The same light that shines in the sky,
Also lives within you.
You are the reflection of the cosmos,
Ever changing,
Ever whole.
When the moon reaches her fullest expression,
She reminds you that even in stillness,
You are growing.
That patience is power.
That preparation is sacred.
That gratitude opens the door to grace.
Again,
My name is Lauren,
And thank you so much for being here.
Your presence here means so much to me,
As well as your practice,
As you raise the vibration into our collective energy field,
Every time you practice any form of self-care and self-love.
And I'll leave you with this one last quote.
The moon is a reminder that we are never alone.
We are all reflections of the same light.
Shine brightly,
Dear ones.
Always.
Namaste.
