Feeling like you're drowning in to-dos? Like your mind is constantly racing and trying, yet you can't seem to catch a break? Overwhelm can paralyze us, preventing us from being productive and present. But it doesn't have to. Welcome,

Friends.

In this meditation,

We'll create space to release the feeling of overwhelm,

Finding a sense of calm and clarity within.

Take a comfortable seat or lie down.

Close your eyes gently.

Allow yourself to settle,

Knowing that this is a safe space to let go.

Begin by noticing your body.

Where do you feel the tension of overwhelm?

Perhaps tightness in your shoulders,

A knot in your stomach,

Or a clenching of your jaw.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in,

Filling your lungs completely.

And as you exhale,

Imagine releasing some of that tension,

Letting it flow down into the earth and away from your body.

Continue breathing deeply,

Focusing on the sensation of relief with each inhale and exhale.

Allow each breath to soothe and relax you.

Now,

Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a serene,

Rippling lake.

Feel the breeze on your face coming off the water.

The water is calm and clear,

Reflecting the sky above.

Visualize all the things that are contributing to your overwhelm.

The never-ending to-do list,

The false pressure of this world to do more,

To be more.

The very valid worries about the future,

The complexities of living consciously,

And so much trying.

Trying to be a good person,

Trying to succeed,

Trying to help.

No more of that for now.

Gather all those burdens and put them in this heavy basket that you're going to be carrying on your back.

Put the basket on your back with straps that fit over your shoulders.

Feel the weight of this very full basket there,

The way it pulls you down and makes it difficult to move freely.

Now,

Gently take the basket off your shoulders,

Lift it up by the straps,

And place it on the ground beside you.

Feel the immediate relief as you release that weight.

Look at the basket,

Acknowledging all the things you are carrying.

Recognize that you don't have to carry them all at once.

You are complete with this basket on the ground beside you.

Now,

One by one,

Take each item from that basket,

Each worry,

Each task,

Each expectation,

And gently toss it into the lake.

Watch as it floats away,

Dissolving into the water,

Becoming part of something bigger.

Know that it returns to its proper place.

Know that you don't have to hold on to these things so tightly.

With each item you release,

Feel a sense of lightness and liberation washing over you.

The lake is taking care of these burdens,

Transforming them and releasing them.

Let it.

Repeat after me,

Either silently or loud.

I release the feeling of overwhelm.

I'm capable of handling what comes my way one step at a time.

I choose to focus on what truly matters.

I am worthy of peace and calm in this moment.

I'm enough now.

Take a few deep breaths,

Feeling the lightness and spaciousness within your body.

Acknowledge yourself for taking this time to release overwhelm and reconnect with your inner peace.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,

Bringing your awareness back to the present moment.

Carry this sense of calm with you,

Knowing that you can always return to this space whenever you need to release overwhelm.

Thank you for joining me today.

May you feel spacious,

Supported,

And never alone.
