Hello and welcome to the chakra meditation series and today's meditation is on root chakra,

On balancing the root chakra.

So take a moment to arrive in the position that works best for you.

Maybe you're seated,

Maybe you're lying down and just get comfortable.

Allow yourself to find the ground underneath you and slowly begin to connect with your surroundings.

Notice the temperature,

The air touching the skin.

Noticing the sounds and feeling those sounds deep in the center of your ears.

Maybe those sounds feel like a vibration and then slowly bring your focus towards your breath.

Noticing your breath.

Noticing how it's moving.

Noticing where is the first place you feel your breath.

Maybe it is your nostrils or maybe it is somewhere else in the body.

What is your connection to your breath right now?

Just feel into that.

Noticing if the connections changed as you keep observing the breath or maybe it's still the same.

Just stay with the awareness of your breath and then slowly letting the breath move a little more deeper,

A little more lower in your torso.

So your inhale fills the lower belly a little bit more and your exhale pulls the lower belly in.

Inhale down towards the lower belly and exhale pull the lower belly back in.

Inhale down into the lower belly and exhale lower belly pulls in.

We'll do five more rounds of breath.

Just breathing into the lower belly.

Opening up the area around the root chakra.

And then slowly take your focus away from your breath and bring your focus to the base of your spine.

So we'll do a movement,

Just awareness of all our chakras before we bring our focus to just the root chakra.

So we'll start with the root chakra focusing on the base of your spine.

Feeling the root chakra and the base of your spine.

Just the tiniest connection.

The chakra slowly opening itself up as you focus on it,

Vibrating a red color.

And then you slowly move up towards the navel,

A little bit below the navel,

The seat of your sacral chakra,

The second chakra.

Feel the chakra gently open,

Vibrating an orange color.

And then gently moving up to your upper abdomen into the third chakra,

The solar plexus chakra.

Continue breathing as the chakra slowly opens up,

Focusing on that spot,

Radiating a beautiful yellow color.

And then we go up into the heart chakra,

The upper chest.

Feeling the chakra gently open,

Radiating a nice green color.

And then up into the throat chakra.

As it opens,

It radiates a beautiful blue color.

And then up center of the forehead,

The third eye chakra.

As it opens,

It radiates a purple color.

And then to the crown of your head,

Filled with white,

White light.

Opening the crown chakra.

And then you slowly bring your focus back to the base of your spine,

Back to the root chakra.

And focusing on the color red.

The color red signifies stability.

That's what this chakra stands for.

So feel the color red getting stronger and stronger.

Maybe the color red starts glowing,

That the light fills the whole base of your pelvis.

Maybe it goes into the thighs.

Now the symbol connected to this chakra is a square.

And the outside of each side of the square is a petal,

A lotus petal.

So four petals of the lotus flower,

And then a square.

And inside the square is an inverted triangle.

So as you visualize this symbol of four petals of the lotus flower outside of a square.

And inside this square is an inverted triangle.

See if it helps you connect a little deeper with your root chakra.

The four petals signify the four goals of life.

Karma,

Artha,

Kama,

And Moksha.

Work,

Finding the meaning of life,

Fulfilling desires and liberation.

The square in the symbol represents groundedness,

Represents stability.

The inverted triangle in the symbol represents the downward energy.

The energy that goes into the earth,

That helps you ground into the earth.

So visualizing this beautiful symbol of the root chakra,

Radiating in red color.

Petals,

Square,

Inverted triangle.

Feeling yourself getting more and more grounded.

The element associated with your root chakra is the element earth.

Again,

It represents being grounded.

So feel the earth in your whole body.

Your bones,

The muscle mass,

The heaviness of the body,

All comes from the root chakra.

Do feel even more connected to the earth element.

And maybe you feel your heels pressing down into the ground.

Or you visualize your heels radiating a red color.

And for the hands,

Maybe you take a mudra where you connect your ring finger to your thumb.

Ring finger represents the root chakra in your hands.

And connecting it to the thumb helps connect you to the root chakra even deeper.

This mudra is also known as prithvi mudra.

Prithvi means earth.

So this mudra helps you connect deeper with the earth element as well.

Notice the groundedness and the heaviness that you feel by deepening your connection with the root chakra.

If you wish to continue holding the mudra,

That's totally fine.

If you wish to release the mudra and turn your palms down,

That's fine as well.

Now to connect even deeper with our chakra,

We will tune into the vibration that's associated with the chakra.

The root chakra has the vibration lam connected to it.

You're welcome to chant lam with me or just say it in your mind.

We'll do it three times.

It'll be a lot longer than how I just said it.

So just follow along.

Here we go.

Take a deep breath in.

And on the exhale,

Lam.

Again,

Breathe in.

And exhale,

Lam.

Last one,

Inhale.

And exhale,

Lam.

Notice the vibrations down in the base of the spine in the root chakra.

Continue breathing.

And then we focus on those subtle elements of the root chakra,

The emotions,

The role that this chakra plays in our life.

Stability is what this chakra is for.

Stability not only in the physical body,

But also in our health,

In our relationships,

In our career,

Finances,

Anywhere.

So let's first send our breath into the chakra to release any blockages that might be there around stability.

So breathe down towards the base of the spine.

And exhale,

Feel all those blockages release into the ground.

Nice.

Take another breath.

Just like that.

And then see if you can physically relax the body to release even more tension,

So the energy of the chakra can radiate further.

And then just visualize whatever blockages you feel you are releasing.

Through your breath.

Where is there instability in your life?

Is it more in your health?

Is it a particular relationship that doesn't feel as stable?

Or is it the career?

Where are the blockages that make you feel unstable?

Just see what comes up.

Sometimes you might see things that you haven't seen before.

So sit with it.

See what comes up.

And then as you observe,

Whatever is keeping the energy in the root chakra stuck,

Gently allow that to be released.

Each inhale,

We let the base of the spine relax even further.

And with each exhale,

You release whatever blockage you find.

You let it go down into the earth through that inverted triangle.

And then notice if there are any cords that are attached to your chakra.

Usually people that are taking energy from your chakra are connected to your chakra through cords.

So see,

Is there anyone that's taking the energy from your root chakra?

And you don't even know.

And as they say,

Sucking the energy from you.

Who are the people that are related to you being a little unstable?

As you see them attached to these cords,

Maybe they are towards the front,

Maybe they're towards the back.

And just simply smile once you realize sometimes it's you.

And then you very,

Very gently release these cords.

Gently let those people move away.

Move away from you.

Feel them just flying away.

And you allow your root chakra to be released from all attachments.

And then you visualize a beautiful golden sun and place it right in front of your root chakra.

And then gently allow this sun to be absorbed into the root chakra.

And the light of this sun fills up all those spaces from where you have released something.

Filling the root chakra with more positive light.

And that makes your root chakra even brighter,

Radiating in the brightest red color.

You may repeat an affirmation.

I am stable.

I am grounded.

I am safe.

I am connected.

And then sitting down in your root chakra,

Just take a look up through all the chakras.

Thanking all the chakras for being here today,

For supporting you.

And say a huge thank you to the root chakra for giving you the insights,

The messages,

The direction that you needed.

And let all the chakras calm down.

Returning yourself back to your balanced state.

And then you slowly connect with your breath.

Slowly connect with the room,

The sounds,

The temperature now.

The physical body,

The sensations.

Do you want to move a little bit,

Sway a little bit,

Circle the shoulders or stretch the neck,

The hands,

The arms?

Feel free.

And then bring your hands to your heart center.

You gently bow down to close the practice.

Namaste.

When you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

Thank you.
