Hello,

And welcome to Feeling Comfortable in Your Own Skin.

My name is Matthew,

And I'm honored to be your guide through this journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

Today,

We will focus on a powerful exercise,

Recalling a time in your life when you felt perfectly at peace and comfortable with who you are.

Before we begin,

Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down comfortably and completely at peace.

Take a moment now to settle in,

Allowing your body to relax and your mind to become completely calm.

Let's start by closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths.

Inhale deeply through your nose,

Hold for a moment,

And then exhale slowly through your mouth.

Feel the tension leaving your body with each exhale.

Let's do this together.

Inhale,

Hold,

And exhale.

Inhale,

Hold,

And exhale.

Inhale,

Hold,

And exhale.

Now with your eyes still closed and your breath steady,

I invite you to bring to mind a moment in your life when you felt completely at ease,

A time when you felt genuinely comfortable and at peace with yourself and everything going on in your life.

It could be a recent memory or something from your past.

Take your time and allow the memory to come to you naturally.

As this memory becomes clearer,

Start to immerse yourself into it deeply and fully experiencing it.

Notice any details of the scenery around you.

Where are you?

What time of day is it?

What do you see,

Hear,

Or even smell?

Feel the environment completely enveloping you,

Bringing you back to that moment of peace.

Now focus on the emotions that you felt during this time.

What made you feel so comfortable and at peace?

Was it the people you were with,

The activities that you were engaged in,

Or perhaps the place itself?

Allow yourself to fully experience these emotions.

Feel the warmth,

The joy,

The serenity that filled you up during this time.

Now gently bring your awareness back to the present moment,

But hold on to the sense of peace and comfort from your memory.

Know that these feelings are a part of you and that you can access them whenever you want.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Allow this sense of peace to spread throughout your whole body.

Take as much time with this exercise as you'd like,

Feeling yourself completely immersed in this feeling of peace and joy from your past,

Now bringing it completely into the present moment.

To reinforce this feeling even deeper,

Let's repeat a few affirmations.

You can say them aloud or in your mind.

Let's start.

I am at peace with who I am.

Again.

I am at peace with who I am.

One more time.

I am at peace with who I am.

Excellent job.

Let's do another one.

We'll also do this one three times.

Ready?

I embrace my true self with love and compassion.

I embrace my true self with love and compassion.

I embrace my true self with love and compassion.

Let's do one more affirmation.

I carry a sense of comfort and ease within me.

I carry a sense of comfort and ease within me.

I carry a sense of comfort and ease within me.

Excellent job.

And now,

When you're ready,

Gently open up your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel.

Remember,

The sense of peace and comfort that you experienced is always within you.

You can return to this memory and these feelings whenever you need to feel grounded and at ease.

Thank you for joining me today.

I hope this exercise has reminded you of the peace and comfort that resides within you.

Take this positive energy with you as you continue your day.

Until next time,

Be kind to yourself and remember that you are enough just as you are.
