Those are two types of energising breathing techniques, that are very ancient, coming from the Yogy traditions. Those exercises are perfect to do In the morning, or before any task that requires you to be active ready and energised ( before gym, work, meetings etc) but is not recommended for people who have high level of anxiety. In this track, there will be a guided session and also empty space in the track for you to practice alone without my voice. I hope you enjoy it, Namaste.

Welcome everybody.

Welcome.

Today we are going to try and practice the coffee category.

Specifically,

We will try today fire breathing and bellows breathing.

To do this exercise,

I suggest you to take a seat in a comfortable position.

Make sure you have your shoulders relaxed.

Rotate a little bit the shoulders back and forward so that we can relax them.

Relax the neck.

Relax the jaw.

Make sure that your belly and your diaphragm are fully relaxed.

Tune into your bowels.

I want you to have a visceral,

Relaxed sensation.

Let's take a few breaths.

Let's inhale.

Hold it in.

Exhale slowly.

Now just breathe normally,

Following your own rhythm.

Just for a quick recap,

The fire breathing is created by rhythmically exhaling the air by compressing the diaphragm towards the inside.

Squeezing like when we go to the loo or when we blow our nose.

And when we relax the diaphragm,

The air will automatically flow back in.

So it's going to sound like.

.

.

So let's start.

We do a normal inhale.

And we start out,

Out,

Out,

Out,

Out,

Out,

Out,

Out,

Out.

We breathe normally again.

We inhale and we repeat.

In and out,

Out,

Out,

Out.

And we breathe normally.

Last session.

In and out.

And we breathe normally.

We can repeat this three to five times.

It's not suggested for people who wake up with anxiety.

But it's great for people who wake up foggy,

Lazy,

A bit disorientated,

And need oxygen and a rush of adrenaline to do certain activities like go to work,

Go to the gym,

Have a meeting.

When you need activity from your brain,

This quick exercise can be a powerful tool in your pocket to use whenever you need to be on the go,

Active.

So now we are going to try the bellows breathing.

The difference between the fire and the bellows is that the air is forced in and the air is forced out rhythmically.

So when we force the air out first,

And then we force the air in,

In,

Out,

In,

Out,

And the diaphragm will move in opposite directions.

So when the air is coming in,

The diaphragm is going outwards.

When the belly is going,

It's pushing outwards.

When the air is going out,

The belly,

It's going inwards.

And it will sound like this.

In,

Out,

In,

Out,

In,

Out.

So let's start.

Let's take a normal breath in and out.

In again.

Let's restart.

Out,

In,

Out,

In,

Out,

In.

And we breathe normally.

We do another round together.

And then I will let you some free time in this track so that you can practice the one you prefer.

So let's start again.

We inhale normally.

And we get ready to exhale.
