Guilt and regret can sit quietly in the body, taking up space in your chest, your stomach, your thoughts. You carry it, explain it, hide it… Maybe even use it to punish yourself. This gentle, grounded meditation invites you to pause and soften. To breathe into the parts of you that still hold onto what you wish had gone differently. To release what you no longer need to carry — with grace, not shame. Because darlin’… You don’t have to keep reliving what you’ve already lived through. You’re allowed to forgive yourself, even if no one else ever says it first.

Hey darling,

If you're here,

You're probably carrying something.

Something that lingers in your mind,

In your body,

In your chest.

Something that sounds like,

I should have known better,

I wish I'd have done it differently.

Why did I do that?

This is your space to pause,

To let some of that land and then let it go.

So go ahead and get comfortable,

Sit,

Lie down,

Curl up,

Whatever feels right.

There's no perfect way to be here.

You can close your eyes if you'd like,

Or just let your gaze soften,

Place one hand over your heart,

And maybe the other wherever your body wants support.

Let's take a breath together.

Inhale through your nose,

Slow and steady,

Then exhale out through your mouth.

Let it release.

Again,

Inhale,

Let it release,

You showed up,

That's enough.

Start to notice your body,

Let your shoulders drop,

Then clench your jaw,

Soften your belly.

And now I want you to check in,

Where do you feel guilt or regret living in your body?

Maybe it's in your chest,

Your stomach,

Maybe it's hard to find,

But you know it's there.

You don't have to fight it,

Just breathe with it.

Let's inhale,

Bringing in some softness,

Exhale,

Making room for a little space.

Now imagine the guilt or regret you've been carrying,

Not to relieve it,

Just to recognize it,

It could be a decision,

A conversation,

A season of your life,

Something that still echoes in your thoughts,

I want you to picture it like an object that you're holding,

It doesn't have to be scary,

It's just something you've held on to for a long time,

And maybe it's longer than you needed,

And now I want you to see yourself walking toward a calm river,

It's wide,

Clear,

Slow moving and steady like your breath,

There's no one else there,

Just you,

In the quiet,

And when you're ready,

Place that object,

That old feeling into the water,

Not with force,

Not with anger,

Just with love,

You're not erasing the past,

You're just simply saying,

I don't need to carry this anymore,

Let the water take it,

Take it downstream and away from you,

Now repeat this to yourself,

Softly like a prayer,

I forgive the version of me who didn't know yet,

I honor my growth,

I am allowed to feel peace,

Even if I'm still healing.

Let those words wrap around your heart,

Breathe them in and let them settle,

Inhale grace,

And exhale guilt,

Inhale understanding,

And exhale regret.

Bring your awareness back to your body,

Feel your breath,

Feel your hand on your heart,

And darling,

Repeat this with me,

I am still learning,

And I'm still worthy,

I can forgive myself,

And still move forward.

Take one last slow deep breath,

Steady,

Gently bring movement back into your fingers,

Your shoulders,

And your face,

You let something land today,

You softened towards yourself,

That's healing.
