You don’t need to change your body to enjoy the season. Not for the beach. Not for the photo. Not for anyone. This summer-themed meditation is a gentle return to self-love and body acceptance, just as you are. Whether you’re slipping into a swimsuit, sitting poolside in your favorite tee, or simply soaking in the sun from your porch… Let this be your reminder: Your body belongs. In this season. In this moment. In this life. Through breath, gratitude, and a little Not So Darlin’ tenderness, we’ll soften the inner critic and embrace the beauty of being here now, fully, freely, and unapologetically.

Hi,

Darling.

As the seasons shift,

Maybe you've noticed familiar thoughts creeping in,

Thoughts about how you should look,

How your body used to feel,

Or what needs to change before you let yourself fully enjoy summer,

But let me offer you something softer.

Your body doesn't have to earn joy.

You don't have to shrink yourself to take up space.

You are already worthy,

Exactly as you are.

So let's take this time to breathe into the truth,

To soften the noise,

And return to love,

Not perfection.

Let's begin with a breath.

Inhale gently through your nose,

And exhale slowly through your mouth.

Let your shoulders relax,

Your jaw unclench,

Let yourself settle right here.

With each exhale,

Release a little more of the pressure,

And with each inhale,

Invite in peace.

Place one hand on your heart,

And the other on your belly,

Or whatever feels most grounding to you.

Feel your breath move beneath your hands.

Feel your body supporting you like it always has.

This body has carried you through seasons,

Through changes,

Through so much life.

Take a moment to thank it,

Not for how it looks,

But for how it lives.

If you feel cold,

Repeat after me,

Either silently or out loud.

Thank you,

Body,

For being mine.

Thank you for holding me.

Thank you for still showing up.

Let the softness sink in.

Maybe you've seen the posts,

Edited images,

Sculpted poses,

Filtered videos that make bodies seem effortless and flawless,

And maybe part of you has wondered,

Is that how I'm supposed to look?

Is my body enough?

Darling,

Whether your body is sculpted or soft,

Toned or tender,

It is still worthy.

Every curve,

Every line,

Every part of you,

It's not just acceptable.

It's beautiful.

It's yours.

True strength isn't found in a mirror.

It's found in how you speak to yourself when no one is watching.

It's the ability to show up,

To feel,

And to keep going.

Balance isn't a number.

It's a feeling.

It's found in the stillness of your breath and in the freedom of loving yourself exactly as you are.

Repeat after me again,

Either silently within yourself or,

If you need to speak it out loud,

Do so.

My body doesn't need to look a certain way to be loved.

I choose kindness over comparison.

I am strong from the inside out.

My darling,

There is no perfect size for joy,

No ideal shape for confidence,

And no checklist for being ready.

You already belong in the sun,

In the water,

In the photos,

In your life.

You don't have to wait to feel good.

So this summer,

May you choose comfort over comparison,

Presence over pressure,

Self-love over self-criticism,

Because the most beautiful thing you can wear is peace with who you are.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Roll your shoulders,

And gently return into your room by fluttering your eyes open,

Maybe even smiling,

And remember darling,

This body of yours,

It doesn't need to be fixed,

It just needs to be loved.

So wrap your arms around yourself and thank it.
