Hello,
And welcome to this guided meditation on transitioning into new seasons.
Let's begin by allowing yourself to settle into a comfortable position.
Whether you're seated,
Lying down,
Or standing,
Just allow your body to find a place of ease and stillness.
I invite you to close your eyes gently if that feels right for you,
Or maybe go to a soft gaze.
Just take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And then release it,
Letting go of any tension or busyness from your day.
Take another deep breath,
This time breathing in calmness and peace,
And exhaling fully,
Letting everything else simply melt away.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Begin to notice any place in your body where you might still be holding tension,
And with each breath out,
Imagine that tension softening,
Dissolving,
And floating out of you.
From the crown of your head,
Down through your neck and shoulders,
All the way to your toes,
Simply let relaxation spread gently through your body.
Now turn your attention inward,
And imagine a warm,
Soothing wave of relaxation starting at the top of your head,
Slowly flowing down your body,
Over your eyes,
Your jaw,
And your shoulders.
This wave continues downward,
Easing any tightness in your arms,
Your chest,
Or your back.
Just allow it to flow into your abdomen,
Your hips,
To your legs,
And all the way down to your feet,
And with each breath,
Feel yourself sinking deeper into comfort,
More deeply connected to the present moment.
Now as you rest in this deepened state of relaxation,
Allow yourself to visualize a vast,
Thriving garden.
You can feel the air is crisp,
And the golden light of late season touches everything gently,
Signaling that change is near.
As you stand at the edge of this garden,
Sensing how the energy is shifting,
How nature is quietly preparing for the restful times ahead,
Then there's a subtle hum in the air,
A sense of readiness and thoughtful preparation.
Now visualize a cluster of trees in the center of this garden.
These trees represent community and interconnectedness.
Their roots beneath the surface silently supporting one another,
And they are drawing in nourishment while also beginning to conserve the energy,
Adapting to the cycle ahead.
Like these trees,
You too are guided by natural rhythms,
Times of outward growth and abundance,
And times of drawing inward,
Conserving and reflecting.
As you walk deeper into this grove,
You notice how each tree makes small,
Deliberate adjustments,
A branch here,
A leaf there,
Each one ensuring it's fully prepared for the quieter season to come.
You may notice in your life there may be places calling for similar adjustments.
Is there a part of you,
A project,
Or a relationship that could benefit from a small yet significant shift before you settle into a time of rest?
These trees have gathered what they need,
And now gently let go of what no longer is required.
The leaves fall effortlessly,
Forming a protective layer over the roots,
Insulating the soil beneath them.
This now is a time of assessment,
Looking at what have you gathered,
What have you built,
And what if anything might need a final touch of care before you too enter a quieter time.
As you continue to explore this garden,
You come across a sheltered spot where smaller plants and creatures take refuge.
Some are strong,
Others more delicate,
But all of them are interconnected,
Supporting each other through the changing season.
In your life,
Are there areas that could use some extra attention,
Nurturing,
Or protection?
Places where a little added care now will ensure resilience through the colder times ahead?
Feeling a deep sense of trust in this natural cycle,
Trust that by making thoughtful adjustments now,
By gathering what's needed and tending to what's delicate,
You are laying the foundation for a restful and restorative season.
You realize that even as the energy winds down,
There is wisdom in preparation,
Allowing life to flourish when the time for growth returns.
As you stand at the edge of this garden once more,
Just take a moment to feel gratitude for the wisdom within you,
The wisdom that knows when to act,
When to gather,
And when to simply be.
You're both the caretaker and the part being cared for,
Aligned with the rhythms of nature and ready to thrive in your own time.
Take a few deep breaths,
Letting the sense of readiness and calmness settle in your body.
And when you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the room,
Carrying with you this sense of balance,
Trust,
And the gentle strength that comes with being prepared.
Now when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Bringing this connection to your inner wisdom as you move forward into whatever lies ahead.
Thank you.
